Samsung Galaxy S8 SM-G950FD Duos is the international version of Dual-SIM. Test results in AIDA64 Disk Benchmark

In 2007, a situation similar to 2006 is emerging on the market, when Samsung simultaneously launches two products that are flagships in their segments, designed to become one of the best offers On the market. Last year this happened with the Samsung D900 and E900, this year with the G600 and E950. Like the previous pair, the two new devices were developed in different R&D centers, Suwon and Gumi, respectively, so the interface and controls are slightly different. If the G600 is an obvious continuation of the D900, then the E950 is the successor to the E900. This is confirmed even by the first name of the device, Samsung E900i. Indeed, the E900 Phantom quickly became a bestseller, the model was a style icon for its time, and the cost of the solution was acceptable. The innovative design and use of touch controls, as well as fairly high functionality, made the device popular; as an image solution, the phone had practically no competitors on the market. The E950 codename is Nimbus2, which once again confirms the continuity of these two devices.

In contrast to the rather monotonous expansion recently model range Samsung phones with comparable dimensions and design ideas (remember the U600, E840, U700 and a number of less popular devices), the new E950 compares favorably with the mass of functionally similar proposals in its appearance and body materials used. The market prospects of the device are quite good; currently it has no direct competitors, and the initial success based on the popularity of the E900 will be supported by the potential built into the model.

Samsung E950 belongs to the Beautiful Technology group, which, according to the company's plans, should place the phone not only in the class of stylish solutions, but also innovative and functional ones. So it is, because in addition to the beautiful appearance and expensive design, the device has several fundamentally new technological solutions that have not yet been seen on the mobile phone market. This is, first of all, additional touch screen, used for navigation, capacitive type sensors that respond to changes in potential difference, as well as a special housing coating. In addition to the impressive appearance, the implemented features turn the device into a truly interesting solution that needs to be considered in as much detail as possible.

Samsung E950:: Review:: Design and ergonomics

Samsung E950 is a compact slider, and it's compact, not thin compared to many other phones from the company. Its dimensions are optimal for a wide range of users; thanks to its not too small thickness (15.4 mm), the device does not have excessive width and height. The phone fits comfortably in the hand and is a pleasure to use, unlike the Samsung E840, which is completely unbalanced in terms of ergonomics.

Compare with SonyEricsson S500i:

Compare with Motorola RAZR2 V8:

The build quality is traditional for latest models The company deserves only flattering words, both in closed and open states the phone is solid, there is no play in the slider or separate parts. However, this is a company tradition; there are exceptions to this rule, but not many of them. In general, in terms of build quality and implementation of the slider mechanism, the new Samsung E950 is very similar to the G600 we recently reviewed. The slider moves softly, the opening sound is muffled, but the downside is the lack of a stop for opening it, the finger rests on the additional screen, and if the latter is active, then there is a high probability of pressing.

It is necessary to dwell on the materials in more detail; here we see a fundamentally new coating technology. Most of the device is made of plastic with a metal coating, but in addition to the coating there is a layer of special varnish that has a mirror effect, thanks to which fingerprints are almost invisible on the glossy iridescent surface. This is a known problem with absolutely all glossy, polished or chrome surfaces; when used, phones lose their outer shine after a few minutes, but the Samsung E950 does not have this problem, or rather, it is minimized. It’s difficult to describe in words, but in reality the device looks impressive. In addition, the coating is quite resistant to scratches and abrasions, it is very wear-resistant. The aluminum spraying is also not uniform, that is, there is a pattern of small dots shaped like coffee beans, and traces of dirt are also not visible due to this texture. From a distance the design is not visible, but up close you can see the reflective effect of the varnished surface, frequent light dots on a darker background. A small area at the bottom of the model is devoid of metal coating; it is black matte plastic of standard quality for the company. The base color of the device is gray-brown; other color options will appear on the market later.

Naturally, not the entire surface of the device is made of such material. Front Panel, protective glass screens remain soiled, there is no escape from this.

In general, Samsung is a leader in the quality of materials and workmanship of devices, and the E950 is another confirmation of this. I am pleased to see such care taken about the appearance of the phone, the use of new materials and coating technologies. Samsung E950, in our opinion, is a design standard; it combines optimal dimensions for a slider, an extremely attractive, but at the same time calm, classic appearance, and ideal build quality. In the photographs, the device is completely different, we advise you to interact with this device live to appreciate all of the above.

The built-in camera module is located at the top of the slide panel. This implementation is the most optimal; when closed, the camera module is hidden in the housing and protected from external influences. Next to the camera lens there is a diode flash, it is quite strong and helps well when shooting in low light conditions, and a fairly large mirror for self-portraits.

There is only one speaker in the device, it is located on the back surface of the device. Its volume is sufficient in most situations, but when it is on a table surface or in a clothing pocket, the sound is blocked and is difficult to hear. There is a memory card slot under the battery cover MicroSD format, they can be hot-swapped.

Samsung E950:: Review:: Screens

The Samsung E950 has a 2.0-inch diagonal screen (physical size 30x40 mm), the matrix is made using TFT technology and is capable of displaying up to 262 thousand colors. The standard resolution is 240x320 pixels. 12 lines of text can fit on the screen at the same time. The screen has a mirror backing, due to which information remains visible in bright sunlight. The quality of the display is excellent, it is one of the best in its class, the colors are as natural as possible, the brightness is at a high level. You can complain about not too much big size, but for the physical dimensions of the device itself everything is normal.

Screen fonts, as usual, are well-drawn and optimal for viewing. The numbers when dialing are large, there will be no problems with them. In the options you select the type of numbers, as well as (for regular font) size, font color and background color.

The additional screen is made using OLED technology and is capable of displaying up to 65 thousand colors, but in most situations it shows only one color of the control indicators displayed on it. The screen resolution is 128x112 pixels, the information remains readable in the sun, there are no problems with this. We will talk about the capabilities of this screen below.

Samsung E950:: Review:: Controls, connectors

Additional controls are represented by a double volume rocker on the left side, which are also used to control digital zoom. The volume keys have their own settings: when incoming call You can select two modes of their operation: Mute and Reject. In the first case, the call sound is muted, in the second the call is dropped. In this case, when you reset the call, you can enable the option of sending a short text message. This is quite an interesting and, most importantly, popular function, familiar to us from Nokia smartphones. When you are busy or in a meeting and cannot answer the call, you just need to pre-set the text of the message, for example, “I am busy”, and it will be delivered to the caller immediately after the call ends.

Almost at the very bottom there is a connector for connecting charger and headsets, covered with a plug. The location of the connector is rather unfortunate; it is difficult to use the keyboard with a headset connected; the plug gets in the way. On right side There is a camera start/shooting button, it protrudes quite far from the body and is convenient to use. Nearby there is a button to turn off and unlock the device; it is deeply recessed into the body, which sometimes causes discomfort.

Samsung E950:: Review:: Touch control, navigation

The digital keyboard of the device is standard, it is made of black plastic, the buttons are not flat, but quite traditional. They have a good stroke, are easy to press, and pleasant to work with. Backlit keyboard and touch keys white, it is completely uniform and perfectly visible in any conditions.

Now let's focus on a fundamentally new control element for mobile phones - an additional touch screen. As we already noted, the Samsung E950 is the world's first slider phone with two screens. So, the additional screen has a resolution of 128x112 pixels, is made using OLED technology and is located in place of the usual navigation key. The screen is framed by a chrome frame and protected by special durable glass that is scratch-resistant. This touch screen is designed to display only a certain set of characters, and it plays the role of a navigation key.

There are several modes of its operation, that is, several sets of characters for certain applications and actions. When you call an application, the set of characters displayed on the screen changes. So, in standby mode, it displays icons of functions standard for the company's devices - up - My Menu, down - Google search, right - music player, left - new message. Naturally, all these functions can be changed, others can be assigned, and the displayed icons will change accordingly. Thus, the presence of such a screen, compared to the navigation key, allows you to always know exactly which application causes the corresponding press, everything is clear.

In the menu, application icons are replaced with navigation symbols and confirmation in the center, in the calculator - with images of arithmetic operations, in the music player - with symbols for managing MP3 files, similar processes occur when calling the radio, voice recorder, camera application, or when the alarm goes off. This is really interesting, in addition to displaying action icons, there is a click animation, the icons increase slightly in size, and in combination with the sound indication, almost no erroneous clicks occur.

It is mainly thanks to this innovative element that the Samsung E950 belongs to the Beautiful Technology group. What else can be said about this method of navigation? In essence, this is an improved implementation of touch controls, transferred not only to several elements, but generally to the entire navigation. Definitely, this method will require some getting used to even after using the “regular” touch keys of the same E900 or U600, but in general the convenience is not satisfactory, but this is still not an acquired taste. Reviews from the use of the Samsung E950 are very different, but the majority of respondents still respond positively. Indeed, the work done by the company’s engineers deserves respect; the sensor response is clear, there are few erroneous clicks.

As in all other products of the company with touch buttons, the phone is locked during a call so as not to accidentally reset the call by touching your cheek, and if you call someone by accident, you need to unlock the device by pressing the power button on the right side surface, this is not always convenient .

Now let’s pay attention to one feature that no one noticed. If you hold the device in your hand, pressing non-touch keys does not cause any problems, everything works clearly, the response is quick and unambiguous. But as soon as you put the phone on the table surface, for example, the two touch keys for sending and answering a call stop responding completely. At first we thought that this feature was related to the presence of a position sensor, but in reality this is not the case; the phone can be placed at any angle, and the sensors will still not respond to touches. In this case, you just need to lightly touch the surface of the battery compartment cover of the phone resting on the table with one finger, and the sensors again clearly respond to touching the keys. Curious, don't you think? Touching other places (the top panel, the plastic part at the bottom of the phone, the numeric keypad, etc.) does not give anything at all, just like touching with any object other than your finger. The device “feels” a touch to the back surface even through a sheet of thick cardboard.

Explained this feature So: the type of sensors used is capacitive, that is, when pressed, the potential difference changes, this leads to their activation. The device responds to the touch of your palms specifically on the battery compartment panel, when removed cover touches are not felt by the phone. This is so interesting Samsung feature E950. We decided to consider this due to the uniqueness of the control technology, however real life this is practically not felt, and accordingly does not provide any advantages or disadvantages.

Samsung E950:: Review:: Battery

The model uses Li-Ion battery with a standard capacity of 900 mAh. A reinforced battery is not available for this device. Like the new phones in The Ultra Edition II line, it uses proprietary OPUS energy-saving technology to extend battery life. In reality, this is what happens, the results are noticeable, but not so significant as to pay attention to the difference.

With an average level of load (about one hour of calls, up to two hours of listening to MP3 and radio, an hour of working with other functions and menus), the phone can last a little less than two days, this is a standard result at present, sufficient for most users.

It takes 2.5 hours to fully charge the battery. The discharge indicator has one peculiarity: the first two bars fall quite quickly, but on the last bar the device works on average for about one day.

Samsung E950:: Review:: Communications

Samsung E950 is a tri-band device (EGSM 900/1800/1900), has support for EDGE (Class 10), but does not have the ability to work in third generation networks (WCDMA). The phone's wireless communications are represented by a Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR module. There are no complaints about its operation; Bluetooth options include activation (enabled or disabled), a list of paired devices, visibility of the phone for detection by other devices, phone name and other standard parameters. The services also do not differ in anything unusual, except for one feature, which we will discuss below.

  • Dial Up Networking Profile
  • File Transfer Profile
  • Generic Access Profile
  • Service Discovery Application Profile
  • Headset Profile
  • Handsfree (Car Kit) Profile
  • Generic Object Exchange Profile (OBEX)
  • Object Push Profile
  • File Transfer Profile
  • Basic Printing Profile
  • Audio Vdieo Remote Control Profile
  • Advanced Audio Distribution Profile
  • Enhanced Data Rate
  • Dual Profile Bluetooth (Voice & Data)
  • vNote
  • There is one interesting feature associated with the A2DP profile: Samsung E950 is the first phone on the market that can transmit sound to two stereo Bluetooth headsets simultaneously. In the player, when playing a composition, you can select the option of broadcasting to two headsets. Music file transmitted simultaneously to both headsets with the same quality, no problems arise, except, perhaps, insufficient volume when working with the headset (working with two SonyEricsson HBH-DS200 was tested). In the options, the main typeface is set by default. How much is it in demand? this function, it’s hard to say, there aren’t many situations where it can be used, so as an additional feature it’s interesting, but nothing more.

    The wired connection is USB version 2.0, but the data transfer speed is not the highest. But Mass Storage mode, synchronization with Media Player, Samsung PC studio are supported. Desired mode can be selected in the corresponding menu as the default one, or selected each time when connecting.

    Samsung E950:: Review:: User interface

    As we have already said, the Samsung E950 is a representative of devices from the Gumi R&D center, unlike the G600, so there are differences in the interface, although they are not critical for most users. Samsung E950 belongs to the U600 generation, having an updated interface compared to it, the G600, in turn, is a continuation of the D900. The most significant differences relate to the implementation of the call service (the ability to assign a specific default phone number, sort contacts, display the call time in the call list, etc.), the ability to set different signals for SMS messages, and some other points that we will consider in more detail in progress of the test.

    Samsung E950, compared to its predecessor, E900, has a significantly updated interface; in terms of integration, it is close to the company's flagship G600. The U600 model also lags behind in the implementation of some functions; for example, compared to the latter, there are full-fledged interface themes, the implementation is completely the same as the G600. However, it will not be possible to find sound profiles in this device; customization differs only in the ability to switch to silent mode, as in all other devices of the manufacturer. In the sound settings, you can select a melody (as well as a ring type - 5 options in total, including the ability to set vibration and melody at the same time), keyboard tone, on/off, and messages. For each type of message (text, MMS, etc.), you can choose one of two types of notification - vibration or melody, setting an MP3 signal is available, there are no problems with this. Silent mode is turned on by holding down the pound key, the icon of the enabled profile is displayed in the status line of the device.

    We will dwell on the features of the implementation of design themes in more detail a little later, but now we will look at the main features of the device’s interface.

    Following in the footsteps of the D900, the company is introducing the Living World add-on everywhere. When registering in the operator’s network, the device determines the country of residence and displays the corresponding wallpaper on main screen(for example, for Russia this is the view of the Moscow Kremlin). There is its own screensaver for a large list of countries, respectively, the picture shows the main attraction associated with a particular state, be it the Opera in Sydney, the Bridge in San Francisco, Big Ben in London, the Eiffel Tower in Paris. As before, the picture is dynamic - depending on the time of day, night gives way to day and vice versa, when reception deteriorates, clouds appear in the clear blue sky; when a call is missed or a message arrives, fireworks appear. In places with no reception, an image of a green lawn appears on the screen. This is not the latest news, but the discovery is still interesting and has no analogues in phones of other brands.

    An analog clock can be displayed on the screen in standby mode; it is quite large and the numbers are clearly visible. If necessary, you can display the clock for two selected cities, or the clock of your main place of residence in a larger size.

    The status line displays all the main indicators of running processes and activated modules - Bluetooth, player, selected profile, Internet connection, battery level, network and others, while in the menu the indicators are also visible, the icons are moved to the line below, so you can always see which processes are currently active.

    Of course, along with Living World, the background of the main screen can also be any picture, including a photo from a camera. In addition to the picture, you can display a calendar on the screen in standby mode; it will be shown on top of the desktop wallpaper, this option is known on all phones Samsung.

    Text displayed in standby mode (operator name, information about the song being played in background, event information) can change its presentation depending on the settings you select in the corresponding menu item - you set the font color, style (for example, with a cast shadow), position on the screen - bottom, top or center.

    The font style when dialing a number also varies, the size, color, style of characters is selected, the first two parameters are active only for the standard presentation, however, the preset types of numbers are more interesting - as one of possible options symbols are offered that are written with an ink pen on sheets of notepad, and accordingly there is animation. In addition to operations with fonts, the background color of the number entry window also changes; everything can be customized to your taste; Samsung phones are traditionally strong in this area custom settings, which will definitely appeal to many.

    In addition to the main menu, the phone has the so-called “My Menu”, which is called by default by pressing the up navigation key. It is a sheet of several icons for quick access to your chosen, and, accordingly, most frequently visited applications. The menu is in many ways similar to the quick menu of Nokia or SonyEricsson phones, and the convenience has already been tested on more than one generation of devices. The order and number of shortcuts can be changed, the shortcuts themselves are selected from the list, but, unfortunately, the established third party application It won’t work, the list is limited to built-in functions.

    Deviations of the navigation key (or rather, clicks on the screen) can also be assigned certain functions from the list (the list is the same as for “My menu”).

    An interesting and convenient feature is the search for three entered digits in standby mode in numbers (phone book contacts, call list numbers). In fact, if you know by heart a certain sequence of numbers in the number of the desired subscriber, you just need to enter them and the phone will display the numbers and names of contacts in which such a sequence of numbers exists. Both the subscriber's first and last name are displayed (if the number is saved in the phone book), and an icon of the type of number - home, mobile, and so on. If the phone number is not saved in notebook, only the number itself and the icon corresponding to the call status in the call list are displayed.

    Thus, in terms of the number of settings in the user interface and their implementation, Samsung devices are extremely interesting and pleasant to use, they are very close to Nokia phones and in some moments they are ahead of the latter.

    Samsung E950:: Review:: Themes

    For the first time, phones from a Korean manufacturer now have support for full-fledged themes, because until now, changes were limited to two preset color schemes, black and white. As we already mentioned, the implementation of themes is commendable, this refers to the creation of themes inside the phone, without the help special program, necessary for working with themes for phones of other brands. Agree, this is extremely convenient and is in demand by a much larger number of users, because not everyone installs special software on their computer, only occasionally limiting themselves to ready-made design themes available on the Internet.

    So, the phone has a special wizard for creating your own themes; the number of options is really large. Let us list the main steps in order:

  • Background (any picture, photograph, template)
  • Background color and saturation (transparency)
  • List Character Color
  • Fill color
  • Highlight color
  • Font color of highlighted item
  • Popup menu font color
  • Popup menu background color
  • Even such details as the color of the scroll bar and inscriptions on the screen are taken into account. In general, the company's developers have done quite a lot of work, this is immediately noticeable, not only in terms of design themes, but in general in the interface. The created theme is placed in the list of all themes and can be applied immediately.

    Samsung E950 has four pre-installed themes, of which Espresso is the most interesting; the icons are not arranged in a traditional 3x4 matrix, but the selected item is located in the lower corner of the screen and increases in size, the matrix of the remaining items decreases accordingly. This menu organization was reminiscent of Sony Ericsson phones, which use a very interesting invention from the manufacturer - flash themes with always different menu presentation and animation.

    Unfortunately, this feature is not provided for newly created themes; the icons in them have a standard presentation.

    Samsung E950:: Review:: Main Menu

    The main menu can be presented traditionally in the form of icons and in the form of a list, the second level of each sub-item is presented in the form of a pop-up menu (this option can be disabled if a clutter of pop-up windows bothers you).

    Navigation is notable for its already traditional Samsung models function?memory? user actions - the device will begin the next menu access from the last used item. There is quick navigation through the menu using numerical sequences.

    The main menu consists of twelve items, and it is noteworthy that the items vary from phone to phone, both their location and availability.

  • Call log
  • Phonebook
  • Music player
  • Google search
  • Messages
  • My files
  • Calendar
  • Camera
  • Internet
  • Applications
  • Alarms
  • Settings
  • Among the disadvantages in the organization of the menu, it is worth noting only the inability to change places of items and the order of sub-items, the creation of new groups and icons, otherwise there are no complaints about the device.

    Samsung E950:: Review:: Telephone service

    The phone book is called up by pressing the right soft key or through the main menu. The list displays numbers from the phone's memory and from the SIM card simultaneously, each number has a corresponding icon to the left of the subscriber's name. You can move between records by pressing right or left, this is the difference from devices with the Suwon platform. Also worth noting among the differences is the location of the call mini-picture; here it is in the upper left corner, and not to the left of the subscriber’s name. In the contact list there is a search by the first letters of the name (only up to 7 characters), there is no search by last name, some may find this limitation significant. If a contact is assigned multiple telephone numbers, only the main one (mobile by default) is displayed in the general list; the number is accordingly equipped with its own icon.

    A newly created or edited contact can be assigned a first and last name (fields are limited, limited to 20 characters), five phone numbers (mobile, home, work, fax and others), e-mail, note, individual melody, picture or video. The call picture can be any photograph or image, as well as a preset icon. Preset number types cannot be renamed; this is a limitation of the device compared to the G600. The total number of rooms cannot exceed five. When entering several numbers, you cannot select the default number for calls and messages; there is no such option in the menu. The call picture is quite large, it takes up about two-thirds of the screen.

    As you remember, the Samsung G600 has a nice option for automatically entering the subscriber’s date of birth into the calendar, setting the alarm interval for certain time before the event occurs, but in the E950 there is no such option, the system is simplified.

    In total, up to 1000 contacts with all specified phone numbers can be stored in the phone memory. Custom groups with a separate melody and a picture or icon are available. A group can include up to 20 subscribers. All contacts (as well as a business card) can also be sent via SMS, MMS, E-Mail or Bluetooth. You can add 8 numbers to the speed dial list, everything is standard here. When displayed in the speed dial list, only the first and last name of the subscriber is shown if he is included in address book, which can sometimes be inconvenient when you have multiple phone numbers.

    Among other options, it is necessary to note the ability to select the default location for saving contacts - SIM or phone memory (or choose manually each time), the option to display contacts in the form of First Name then Last Name, or vice versa, no, the view is always the same.

    The call log contains data on recent, received, dialed and missed calls (30 entries of each type are stored) and messages. There is both a general list, where the numbers are equipped with a corresponding icon, and a separate list of calls. Moving between lists is done by pressing the navigation key to the right or left; navigation is reminiscent of Nokia or SonyEricsson phones. The number of calls is shown in parentheses opposite each number; call statistics are not shown here, unlike devices using the Suwon platform.

    The Samsung E950 has a blacklist for unwanted contacts; you can add them one at a time or a whole group. Such an application is unique for phones (we are talking about functionality pre-installed by the manufacturer), in fact, its usefulness is significant for most users to one degree or another. It's nice when such functionality is present in the model from the very beginning.

    Samsung E950:: Review:: Messaging system

    Samsung E950 traditionally has a combined message system - the phone itself determines the type of message depending on the content. Memory available for 1000 SMS + SIM card. Even the Samsung G600 has much less memory for SMS, only 200, so the implementation in the E950 is still preferable. It is possible to add up to 20 recipients and merge up to 12 messages. There is an indication of vibration, sound, and backlight. EMS supported. Memory for multimedia messages is limited to 300 messages or three megabytes. As with the phone book, there is a blacklist of unwanted numbers.

    Among the settings, it is worth noting the following: when sending a message, you can enable the report delivery option, there is a sorting of messages by the fact that they were read, date, sender, and so on.
    For text messages there is a list of recent subscribers; when sending, the device displays a list of numbers to which messages were last sent, accordingly you can select required number from this list, or find the number in the phone book. A message can be sent to one or several subscribers, or to an entire group. When sending a message to multiple subscribers, their number is indicated next to the icon to the left of the contact's name in the address field.

    When creating a new text message, you can set the font style (bold, underlined, italic, strikethrough), alignment (centered, left or right). You can also select a piece of text and apply the available options only to that selection. You can add an attachment to a message in the form of a photo, video clip, calendar entry (four types of tasks plus a calling card), sound, and the message type automatically changes to multimedia. You can not only select a photo or video from the gallery, but also immediately receive it using the built-in camera, without leaving the editor.

    In addition to standard text messages, there is an option to send SOS messages. To do this, you need to enter the contact numbers to whom this message will be delivered, resending (if you consider it necessary). The text of the SOS message cannot be changed; it is the same for all situations.

    The following email protocols are supported:

    Email Samsung G600

    POP3 +
    IMAP4 +
    SMTP +
    SSL + (3.0)
    TLS + (1.0)
    OTA E-Mail Settings Configuration +
    Push Email EMN OMA 1.0

    The maximum size of a sent message can be no more than 300 KB. Maximum number mailboxes- five, among the receiving settings, notable are the ability to automatically check email at a user-specified interval, also send a read receipt and how to download a message - only headers, or the whole message. The message download limit is 500 KB, and there is also an automatic deletion option. Deleted messages can remain saved on the server if you so choose. Naturally, attachments recognized by the device itself or the Document Viewer application are supported. The viewer launches immediately; after viewing the received file, the application closes and you remain in the editor. There is a block in the email options, as well as for text messages or the contact book. The only difference is that here the blocking is indicated email address unwanted subscriber and (optional) the subject of the message, to combat advertising messages.

    System multimedia messages(OMA 1.2) provides a limit of 300 KB per message. Up to 20 recipients are also available, and the number of characters is up to 1000. For MMS, the preferred message type is set - Image basic and Image rich, or Video basic and Video rich. In a basic message the size is limited to 100 KB, in a rich message it is already 300 KB. This was done to make it easier to control the size of most messages sent. Accordingly, when creating, the required mode is indicated - free, with a warning, and strictly limited by the established limit (if the limit is exceeded, the image is automatically modified). When inserting an object, its current size is indicated, and the compiled MMS message can be previewed before sending.

    In addition to the listed options for multimedia messages, the font type is set - its color, size (large, normal, small), style (as for text messages - bold, italic, etc.), background color and message viewing mode, by default - full screen. There is no automatic deletion option for multimedia messages. SMIL is supported - the maximum number of pages and objects in a message is 15 and 35, respectively.

    Samsung E950:: Review:: PIM

    The organizer includes a set of applications such as a calendar, alarms, and notes. There are only five alarm clocks, the first one is named Wake up alarm by default. Each of the alarm clocks is quite flexibly configured, a schedule is available (days of the week are selected when the alarm clock needs to go off), repeat (including at intervals). The alarm clock turns on even when the phone is turned off, if this option activated. It is possible to assign each one its own name and melody, including in MP3 format. As with sound profiles, there are many types available for alarms - just ringtone, vibration and ringtone, vibration then ringtone, rising ringing with/without vibration, and so on. After completing the process of setting a new alarm clock, a short summary of the main parameters is displayed on the screen, everything is very clear.

    The calendar display has three views: per month, per week, or per day. You can include up to 300 entries in the schedule (both in general and for one day). There are advance reminders and repeatable events. Sorting by type (meetings, anniversaries, tasks) is well implemented. Here lies another difference with the Suwon Dragonfly platform, for example, when displaying the calendar, there is no status line that contains icons of the entered events - meetings, anniversaries, tasks. The date with a given event is marked with a colored corner. The settings indicate the default view, the day the week starts (Monday or Sunday). There is a memory manager that shows the number of entered and available calendar events.

    When entering tasks, the main necessary parameters are indicated - date, start and end time, alarm time, if one is required. The total number of tasks, as already mentioned, is 300, 100 for each type of event. This number is more than enough in light of the fact that old events are deleted over time.

    As we mentioned in the contact book description, there is no automatic synchronization with phone book, so birthday reminders will have to be entered manually.

    Samsung E950:: Review:: Multimedia capabilities, MP3 player

    Samsung software platform on this moment not the most powerful in terms of multimedia processing. The situation with video is especially mediocre - many formats (even the popular AVI are not supported), there is no loop mode, and rewinding inside a large video file is incorrect due to low performance. With audio, everything is much better; the MP3 player interface is the same as that in the U600 and other new products from the company of the latest generation. In general, the controls are convenient and do not cause any complaints. In playback mode, the screen displays the song title and artist name, album cover (Album Arts function), playbar (progressive rewinding of songs is supported), control indicators, and indicators of enabled playback settings.

    Supported background work player, from the settings it is worth noting:

  • Playback settings (repeat and random),
  • Four equalizer settings (no custom ones),
  • Activation of 3D sound,
  • Transmits sound to a stereo Bluetooth headset,
  • Transmits sound to two headsets,
  • Adding to a playlist (one, several or all created),
  • Rating system (from one to five or without rating),
  • Set a song as a ring tone or alarm
  • Any of the songs can be sent directly from the player via MMS, E-Mail and Bluetooth. There is a function to turn off the radio part of the phone (Flight Mode), which increases the battery life of the phone in playback mode, but it is not available without a SIM card, which is a small disadvantage of the device. A special option has appeared when playing songs - overlapping the sound of the currently playing file with other sounds of ongoing events, for example, notifications of a received message. Accordingly, there are two extreme positions - on and off. The setting is pleasant; it allows you not to be distracted by extraneous sounds when listening if they are not important to you at the moment.

    During background playback, a small window of the color and style selected in the screen settings is displayed on the screen, which shows the name of the song and a playback time indicator. The player has sorting by artists, compositions, genres, recently played, most frequently played tracks, and so on. In the settings you can also see the functions corresponding to the phone keys (you cannot change the latter).

    As for the format compatibility of multimedia files, for the Korean new product it is literally as follows: MP3, WMA, Polyphonic, AMR (Voice Tag), AAC, AAC+, e-AAC+, i-Melody, Midi (SMF), SP-Midi.

    As you can see, all the main standards are available, only RA is missing. Similar to many new devices from the Korean manufacturer, the new product uses a separate sound amplifier, a patented technology from Bang&Olufsen. The sound chip is called ICEpower Mobile, and, as is clear from the purpose, it increases the volume of the reproduced sound, leaving aside its quality. Thus Cell phones Samsung companies have almost the maximum volume level in comparison with competing solutions, which gives them a certain advantage in the eyes of the mass consumer. If we talk about sound quality and nothing more, then it is more or less comparable to others music phones, as an example, we can cite the new models of the XpressMusic series from Nokia; they have a separate DSP, which in combination with high-quality headphones gives very good sound quality, but the maximum volume level is higher in phones from the Korean manufacturer (F300, Ultra Edition II series, E740, F330 and some others). DSP (Digital Signal Processor) provides additional sound processing algorithms, while ICEpower Mobile only allows you to achieve higher volumes. Despite the fact that any amplifier amplifies the noise and distortion inherent in an ordinary audio path, the sound processor allows you to separate the useful signal, and sound with improved parameters is transmitted to the amplifier.

    Speaking more in simple words, DSP works with such parameters as dynamic range (the ability to equally intelligibly transmit both low and high volume sounds without distortion), frequency range, noise level, nonlinear distortion, and in an audio amplifier these parameters are determined only by the circuitry of this amplifier. Samsung is trying to improve the audio experience by increasing the volume and using better circuitry in the ICEpower Mobile audio amplifier itself, compared to the "regular" amplifier that is part of any audio processor.

    What does all this give to the ordinary consumer? Naturally, loud and high-quality sound, audible in almost any conditions. This is a clear advantage over many competing solutions, but to name the listed devices Samsung is the best it is forbidden. Returning to the model under consideration, we note that the sound quality of the latter coincides with other devices of the company of the latest generation; it is one of the best on the market. In combination with high volume, the Samsung E950 is a good music solution, there is no doubt about it, if not for the operating time, which is about nine hours, this is not the highest result to date, however, for an image solution that is not positioned as a music one, everything not bad.

    The Samsung E950 comes with a headset that is standard for many of the company's products; there is no adapter for a 3.5 mm jack, there is only an answer button, so to listen to MP3 you will need to buy a proprietary adapter. The included headphones are not good enough to provide good sound quality.

    Samsung E950:: Review:: Radio

    The implementation of the radio is typical for Samsung, that is, there are standard features search and auto search, manual installation the required frequency, etc. The required frequency can be added to the list of channels and set a name. Subsequently, the typical operations of deleting, renaming, and also setting as an alarm signal are possible with the saved channels.

    Scanning occurs by rotating the circle depicted on the screen, everything is more than visual. A memory for 99 stations is available, RDS is present, which can be turned off. It is possible to output sound both to the headset and to the built-in speaker. The radio, like the MP3 player, can run in the background. The reception quality is good, no complaints. This device does not have the ability to record sound from the radio, unlike the G600 and E740.

    Samsung E950:: Review:: Set of pre-installed software

    Samsung E950 has a standard set of pre-installed applications for the company. We have already considered some of them or will consider them further (image editor and others), now we will focus on other possibilities. There is a Picsel File Viewer for viewing office files, as before, the controls are extremely convenient, in viewing mode there is an increase icon on the screen, which occurs by pressing the volume keys. The viewer, as the name implies, does not have the function of editing documents; this is the only lag behind smartphones.

    The voice recorder in the device has a nice and quite convenient shell, but is functionally simple. It is possible to limit audio recording for MMS, or to one hour, to save the finished file is available as inner memory phone and a replacement card. The recording volume and the standard name of the resulting clip are also set. Unfortunately, there is no option to record a conversation. The recording of an external source is of high quality, without any complaints.

    The world time function is also nothing special; it is a graphical display of two time zones and their corresponding cities with locations on the map.

    The built-in calculator is not bad, but only basic functions are present. Basic mathematical operations are controlled by pressing symbols on the additional screen, which is very convenient. The unit converter is a traditional tool for converting values of currencies, length, weight, volume, area, temperature.

    The countdown timer and stopwatch are standard, nothing to write home about.

    TV-Out is present; this functionality is standard for many devices of the Korean company. There are only two settings: NTSC and PAL-B. It makes no sense to describe the principle of operation, everything is extremely simple. Using the included TV-Out cable, the Samsung G600 is connected to the TV, and, accordingly, to big screen you can view photos taken, recorded videos, and for business purposes - office documents, presentations using Document Viewer.

    There are several built-in games, all of them are traditional for the company’s devices. These include Cannonball, Paris Hilton's Diamonds, Freekick, Arch Angel, Mini Golf, Midnight Pool. Games are not that interesting, but sometimes they will help pass the time on the road. As we have already said, additional games and applications can only be installed over the air, jar and jad files are received via Bluetooth, just like in Suwon devices, they are placed in the “other” folder, but cannot be installed, this is a disadvantage of the device .

    Finally, it is necessary to note one important feature - this device, unlike the G600, has smart search, an extremely convenient application for searching necessary information. There are 8 categories (including all data) within which you can search:

  • My files
  • Messages
  • Calendar
  • games and applications
  • Phone book
  • Call log
  • You can move between lists by pressing left or right. The required sequence of letters or numbers is entered in the search line, and the device displays all data that has such a sequence in the name. Accordingly, each result is provided with a corresponding icon. Smart search is an extremely convenient and useful application that allows you to find the information you need in a few clicks.

    Samsung E950:: Review:: Google Search

    One of the menu items is Google search, which accordingly provides Google search, access to the Internet browser (Access NetFront version 3.4, the same browser is installed on most other devices of the company), mail server. Everything is quite simple and clear, the browser itself is not bad, there are various settings:

  • Page size (small, standard, large)
  • Page Pilot (mini map feature for fast navigation across large pages)
  • Copying page addresses
  • Saving images on a page or entire pages
  • Operations with cache memory and cookies (cache size is 2 MB)
  • Additional settings allow you to set the option to run Java scripts, play sounds and display images, as well as a viewing mode - there is Smart-Fit technology for better placement of information in the window. You can view Internet sites in both portrait and landscape screen orientations; for the latter option, all options are the same.

    The browser supports most modern data formats and languages.

    Samsung E950:: Review:: Performance

    Speed Samsung works The E950 is traditionally low for the company's devices; this is felt, for example, when rewinding something heavy. video (standard 3GP movie - 60-70 MB). In addition, working with Java is mediocre, including in terms of performance. An interesting fact is that the Samsung E950, unlike the company's flagship G600, supports 3D Java profiles, although the results, of course, are not impressive compared to its competitors.

    It would seem that a fairly powerful software platform would require large resources and an equally powerful hardware base, but in reality this is not the case, the processor is standard for many of the company’s devices, it is ARM9 85 Mhz, similar to Samsung D900, E900 and others. This explains the lack of ability to record MPEG4 video in real time with frame rates up to 30 per second, and some sluggishness of the interface. The use of an old hardware platform is explained by the desire to reduce the price of the product, but, on top of everything else, high performance would in no way be a priority for this phone, the E950 is an image solution and nothing more. In any case, there is no big point in being upset about this; those who really need the capabilities that are missing here (fortunately there are very few of them, only the techi category) will look towards products from other brands, and the level that the device we are considering now offers is enough for the majority.

    Samsung E950:: Review:: Camera

    This element is not key in the Samsung E950; as we have already said, it uses a three-megapixel sensor without the ability to autofocus, it is completely similar to that in the Samsung U100, U300. This means that the quality is good, but not up to par with top products like the U600, which are equipped with an autofocus system.

    So, for shooting there is a dedicated key on the right side of the device. There is no separate button for switching shooting modes, as in the E590, but the right soft button calls up the corresponding menu, which literally consists of the following items:

  • Camera
  • Scene
  • Camcoder
  • Gallery
  • Settings
  • Let's start with the most interesting thing - scene shooting. The device has seven scenes + Auto available at once. This is more than many photographic solutions, but less than most point-and-shoot cameras. Another thing is that some stories are grouped two into one item, but in total the list consists of the following:

  • Party/Indoor
  • Beach/Snow
  • Sunset
  • Dusk/Dawn
  • Autumn color
  • Backlight
  • Night
  • As you can see, everything you need is there; there are no obvious gaps in the scenes. The shooting modes are also pleasing. There are the following points:

  • Single shot
  • Multi shot
  • Mosaic shot
  • It should be remembered that when burst shooting The image resolution drops from the maximum possible 2048x1536 to 320x240. The same applies to mosaics. The options for the latter, by the way, are pleasingly diverse - 19 types are available. As for the series, it is possible to take 6, 9 or 15 pictures in Normal or High quality.

    There are standard options for turning the flash on/off. The latter has an auto mode, but cannot light up constantly, only when shooting. The E950 also has a timer, no complaints about it. It is possible to set the delay to 3, 5 or 10 seconds. While waiting, the screen displays a waiting bar and indication numbers, which is quite convenient, although it is not easy to notice them from afar - a light indication would be nice.

    As with mosaic shooting, the variety of effects is not satisfactory; there are more than enough of them:

  • Negative
  • Sepia
  • Emboss
  • Green
  • Sketch
  • Poster
  • At the same time, let’s not forget that these kinds of modifications are available in not the most complex graphics editor, so Samsung’s advantage here is truly felt only by completely mobile or lazy users who do not have the opportunity or desire to tinker with a computer. The same applies to the zoom, it is digital, four times. Traditionally, Samsung has a wide variety of frames (29 pieces!), this is just interesting, especially in conjunction with MMS - at the beginning of the date, I took a joint photo, dressed it in a heart, and by the end of the meeting sent a message to the appropriate recipient.

    You can select the viewfinder mode (Regular / Indicator / Guidelines) and customize the camera application interface icons. IN additional settings Typical items available:

  • Quality (Super Fine, Fine, Normal),
  • Exposure metering (Matrix, Center-weighted, Spot),
  • Shutter sound (a set of preset sounds, the sound can be muted),
  • Turn digital zoom sound on or off,
  • Turn on or off the sound of the image brightness changing when shooting,
  • Location for saving photos and videos (phone memory, memory card, there is no option to select a specific folder for saving files),
  • Default file name.
  • The following image resolution options are available for photos:

  • 2048x1536
  • 1600x1200(UXGA)
  • 1280x960(SXGA)
  • 800x600(SVGA)
  • 640x480(VGA)
  • 320x240(QVGA)
  • Regular shot in maximum settings quality and resolution takes up in memory from 250-300 KB at night with a minimum of details up to 450-600 KB for complex daytime photos. As a result, we note that the quality of the Samsung E950’s images is quite good; in good lighting conditions, the quality is comparable to autofocus cameras. In any case, competitors in terms of quality samsung cameras The E950, among other devices from this company, is not available in this segment.

    For video:

  • 352 x 288(CIF)
  • 320 x 240(QVGA)
  • 176 x 144(QCIF, MMS)
  • 160 x 120(QQVGA)
  • 128 x 120(Mobile)
  • 128 x 96(MMS)
  • H.263 + AMR NB and MPEG4 + AMR NB are used, only the frame rate is 15. The maximum video size is up to an hour, it is possible to use the backlight in the same modes as when taking photos. The quality of the resulting video is quite high; devices from Samsung are among the best in their class. Videos of this quality are comfortable to view on a phone screen, but on a computer or TV screen when the phone is connected via the TV output, the quality is not very satisfactory and artifacts are visible.

    Samsung E950:: Review:: Gallery

    A well-implemented viewing of captured photos and videos on the phone may not be so important, but we still tend to regard it as a significant bonus. The developed editing tools are also nice, because even a laptop with powerful Photoshop or even a handheld with similar tools is not always at hand. In the device we see a new implementation of the gallery along with a numerous set of other features of the updated software platform. Video viewing is possible in both landscape and portrait screen orientations (full screen), respectively, there are basic control indicators - pause/play, rewind. Rewinding is progressive, the interval increases when you hold down the keys for a long time.

    Format compatibility for video files is not very pleasing with its diversity: 3gp (H.263 + AMR) and MPEG4.

    Selecting several or all files is still done after acting on them, which in most cases does not cause any inconvenience. You can simply view it or send it by message, email, Bluetooth; setting the image of the subscriber or the main screen; copy and move; deletion and renaming; However, there is no sorting, as well as a choice of viewing mode. It is possible to immediately share a file for a Bluetooth connection and send it for printing (both via Bluetooth and USB). Finally, you can view the file details. There is a slide show, however, unlike the Samsung G600, there are no viewing modes, only the frame changing interval - short or long.

    Samsung E950 format compatibility regarding graphic files next, all major formats are supported. The only thing missing is BMP:

    Graphic formats in Samsung E950

    WBMP, BMP +
    PNG +
    GIF, A-GIF +
    JPEG +
    SVG, SVG-T -
    Macromedia Flash -

    Samsung E950:: Review:: Impressions, conclusions

    On par with others Samsung capabilities The E950 has an Image editor application that allows for simple graphics editing. You can use either a finished photo or directly take it from the camera directly to the editor.

    Four effects are available (Filter, Style, Warp, Partial blur), four adjustments (Auto level, Brightness, Contrast, Colour), two transformations (Rotate, Flip), the Crop tool, inserting a frame, icons, text, etc., as well as printing, mailing and binding. Particularly useful are practically professional image correction tools - auto-levels, brightness and contrast changes. If other effects and frames are used only for entertainment, for the most part, then the mentioned settings allow you to “stretch out” the photo quite well, the difference with the original file is noticeable on the monitor screen.

    An interesting thing is the so-called imprint, or Image stamp, when one photograph is superimposed on another, the level of transparency, the color of the imprint, and so on are selected, sometimes you can get really interesting pictures. Overall, the image editor leaves an extremely positive impression. The interface is well thought out, and the number of various tools will appeal to everyone who uses the capabilities of the built-in camera to the fullest.

    Samsung E950:: Review:: Impressions, conclusions

    Samsung E950:: Review:: Impressions, conclusions

    Samsung E950 provides good communication quality, everything is at the level of other models of the company, there are no problems with it. Volume conversational dynamics is sufficient in most situations, the polyphonic speaker is also not bad, but its location on the rear surface leads to the sound being blocked in a clothing pocket or on the table surface; it is not audible in all situations.

    The operating time is at the standard level for the company's models, about two days with average load intensity; active users will have to charge the device often every day.

    As we have said many times, the device caused a positive impression of use, which is mainly associated with the excellent build quality and the materials and technologies used. The E950 retains its attractive appearance for a long time thanks to an interesting textured pattern and a special coating on the case; fingerprints and abrasions are not visible on most of it. The main parameter for an image solution - stylish appearance - is implemented here more than adequately. Among other advantages of the phone, we note its optimal dimensions, it fits very comfortably in the hand, as well as a user-friendly interface and quite good functionality.

    Naturally, every solution on the market has its own shortcomings, including the Samsung E950, which is not the best implementation of the Java virtual machine, and some slowness of the interface; these shortcomings are standard for all the company’s devices.

    The main feature of the device - the additional screen for control - is both the biggest advantage and the biggest disadvantage. The fact is that touch control is not an acquired taste, some people really like it, some are neutral, others don’t accept it at all. The appearance of the control area, both in the active state and in the inactive state, is extremely interesting, it attracts the eye, and in fact it determines the overall appearance of the device. But we cannot evaluate ease of use objectively; The Samsung E950 is definitely not a device for everyone. If you had no problems using the touch elements of Samsung E900, U600 and others, then the new E950 will bring only positive emotions.

    In conclusion, we will say that the Samsung E950 is an excellent alternative to the more popular U600 and an optimal replacement for its predecessor, the Samsung E900. If the price stabilizes, the device will be a good purchase, because it has no direct competitors from other manufacturers in this segment. Considering the great success of the E900 on the market, its successor can be predicted to have equally successful sales, because the device is really interesting.

    Samsung E950:: Review:: SMAPE Opinion

    Samsung E950 is an excellent choice in the segment of fashion devices; you should definitely pay attention to it when choosing a stylish and at the same time innovative, unusual product.

    Optimal dimensions, excellent body materials and build quality
    + interesting design, additional screen
    + high quality sound
    + rich customization options, user-friendly interface
    - relatively short battery life
    - controversial ergonomics
    - inconvenient location of the headset jack

    To help you make an informed choice, the SSD drive was tested at the NICS Computer Supermarket on 05/19/2016. The test results are clearly displayed in a diagram and two tables.

    The diagram shows the test results for the selected article (highlighted in red) and 9 more products of similar price. Percentages indicate an approach to the maximum recorded results. That is, if your choice fell on a product with an indicator of 50%, this means that there is an analogue that is 2 times faster (with an indicator of 100%), but, of course, at a completely different price.

    The diagram is followed by a table with similar indicators for 10 champion products in their category, in the form of a TOP10 rating.

    Using this table, it is easy to determine the place of an SSD drive in the overall “table of ranks”, as well as estimate how expensive it will be to try to improve performance. The selected product is also highlighted in red.

    The last plate is simply a list of test results. From these, a percentage ranking is calculated, which was used in the first two reports. By clicking on the name of the test, you can go to a summary table with indicators for all products in the category, including those that are currently out of stock.

    Comparisons only use products that are currently in stock.

    If you decide to approach the selection of new equipment seriously and responsibly, the full rating Rating of SSD drives, which includes test results for products currently out of stock, will provide invaluable assistance.

    As mentioned above, it is mainly the Galaxy S8 SM-G950FD that is sold in Russia, but not all copies are imported into the country legally. The cheapest smartphones (15-20% cheaper than the recommended price) are apparently imported from Asian countries and are “gray”.

    According to the terms of Samsung's warranty service, all devices purchased abroad (this also applies to “illegals”) are subject to free repair only in the “home” country. There is an assumption that under the guise of this modification they can be sold with special semi-homemade Chinese firmware American operator options.

    Firmware

    Samsung Galaxy The S8 SM-G950FD has several regional firmware versions with country/country codes embedded into it. Due to the fact that the hardware of all copies is completely identical, they are interchangeable. The operation is possible using special Odin software. You can download various firmware options from a special website.

    The June firmware update has arrived on the Samsung Galaxy S8 SM-G950FD

    This option is often used to activate the contactless payment service. Samsung Pay() in cases where the device was purchased in another region. It is recommended that the PDA and CSC values match. It is optimal to use the five-file version.

    In some cases, you first need to install “intermediate” firmware without the original regional code. Example: purchased in Ukraine, they flash the Russian version on the Galaxy S8 SM-G950FD in order to use it to connect to Samsung Pay card payment system Yandex money:

    1. We are looking for all G950FXXU1AQEB firmware for SM-G950FD on SamMobile.
    2. “Sewing Russia” right away is not recommended. Therefore, we take the option for Brazil, the UAE or Thailand.
    3. And after that we flash the Russian modification.

    In most cases, the KNOX counter does not trigger when changing firmware with a different regional code, but such cases are known with smartphones purchased in Southeast Asia.

    Getting root

    Changing the original Galaxy firmware S8 SM-G950FD to enable root superuser mode is possible, but this triggers the Knox counter. After this, Samsung Pay and some other proprietary programs stop working.

    A year later, the charging connector died, now it can only be charged from the computer. This is the disease of these phones. Change it, there is a possibility that the headphones will not work

    What I liked

    In principle, the phone is good, good photos

    What I didn't like

    play in all parts of the body.
    connector for connecting a Samsung headset.
    It's terrible with a 2 gig card.

    What I liked

    having respected everything perfectly.

    What I didn't like

    The phone is 1.5 years old... the top touch panel does not work...(((I treated the phone very well, but... repairs now cost half the cost of the same new one. The cover also falls off, it’s impossible in the cold - it slows down terribly. And if you were writing an SMS message and someone called you, then automatically the touch panel starts working from the touch of your face... a lot of messages at that moment went to the wrong people(((The phone was scratched((((

    What I liked

    Only mp3 is normal

    What I didn't like

    1) Literally in the first days of use the screen began to scratch, after 1 year of use the screen was simply “killed”...
    2) Applications are not collapsible
    3) It is difficult to find applications that would work (For example, ISQ, Opera mini, etc.)
    4) When playing melodies in the player touch buttons glitchy

    What I liked

    Very nice design. Comfortable. Stylish. Good camera. Headphones with good sound. You can even read books in in electronic format, though they need to be downloaded from the telephone Internet..."I flew" many times, even swam, basically nothing - it works

    What I didn't like

    The touchpad is too sensitive - you don’t always get to the right button right away, if you touch it a little, some other function pops up, for example, when you hold the phone to your ear, you can accidentally press the touchpad with your cheek, and an unnecessary function will crash

    What I liked

    Modern design, metal body parts

    What I didn't like

    The camera doesn’t work after 2 years of use, the screen has crumbled, but it hasn’t really lost its view! Applications do not minimize - this is bad, and not all applications work!

    What I liked

    Not a bad model! The music is loud, the camera was not bad... The iron back panel is great, because of this the phone does not suffer much when dropped!

    What I didn't like

    The back cover constantly falls off, this sensitive sensor is terribly infuriating... as soon as you lightly touch it with your hand, it starts dialing, sometimes it also slows down... It scratches terribly... after a few months the charger runs out

    What I liked

    functionality, good sound not a bad camera

    What I didn't like

    The camera is rather weak, although the resolution is good, and it’s a little inconvenient to operate it with the sensor. The body shuffles on the back side and is scratched on the front side, but I think this is due to the fact that I didn’t use a case.

    What I liked

    The most beautiful phone I’ve seen in terms of price and design. I’ve been using it for less than a year and recently lost it (((I’m very upset because I can’t find a more pleasant appearance in other phones (usually the overpayment for design is very large), and here, thanks to the sensor, which, by the way, you quickly get used to, the phone looks great, and the presence of various functions is pleasing.

    What I didn't like

    The sensor is slow. ICQ crashes exactly every minute, even though it was downloaded specifically for Samsung. After two months of use, scuffs appeared on the sides of the phone. Very quiet speaker, no vibration alert. The sound quality is very poor.

    What I liked

    Good quality photos

    What I didn't like

    For me personally, the only drawback in this phone is the weak sound, but in general the mobile phone is good
