Review of the Samsung S5610 phone: a successful all-in-one. Review of the Samsung S5610 phone: a successful candy bar Features of the Samsung gt s5610 phone

Content:

The fashion for touch devices has noticeably reduced the number of phones with keys. For a long time, Nokia filled the market with such devices, but now there is no similar replacement for the , \ . Yes, there are or, however they offer a combination touch screen and buttons. Other models have been announced, but they use the same control principle.

Therefore, those who are not ready to give up their usual qualities can be advised to pay attention to the Samsung S5610. This monoblock is not very expensive, but it is attractive in appearance and functionally very good. 2.4-inch QVGA screen, 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, FM radio with recording function, memory card slot and convenient settings on the menu.

Appearance

The monoblock turned out neat and nice. The body is gray, so it goes equally well with the classic image of a business person and the rhythm of life of a young user. The basic light gray color of the plastic shell is broken up by darker accents on the front and back.

In the first case, it will be the keyboard block, and in the second, it will be an aluminum part that is fixed in the removable cover.

The dimensions of the device are 119.2x49.7x12.9 mm, weight 91 g. The case is relatively thick when compared with touch phones. However, for a candy bar with buttons, these are normal parameters, and there is no question of any excessive bulkiness here.

The phone has a good weight distribution, thanks to it and well-thought-out ergonomics it fits well in the hand. It fits well into clothing pockets and is comfortable to use.

There is a hole at the top conversational dynamics, which is located under a plastic insert with numerous holes.

At the top end of the phone there is a standard 3.5 mm jack to which any headphones can be connected. A microUSB port is located in the center. It is protected by a sliding plug from dust and small debris. This is a simple and reliable design.

There is a volume rocker on the left side of the phone. It has a comfortable texture, it is easy to feel and press with little effort and works clearly. There is also a hole for attaching a strap.

On the right there is a dedicated key for shooting fairly large sizes.

There is a microphone at the bottom.

Back cover has a rather original design. It combines a plastic base, which is almost completely covered with an aluminum insert. This surface looks beautiful, and just holding the device in your hand will be very pleasant.

The panel holds tightly, there is not the slightest play or squeak. It is worth mentioning overall quality phone assembly, which is worthy of the highest praise.

The camera lens is located in the center, next to them are the speaker slots. On the other side there is a flash.

By sliding the cover down, you can see the hole for the memory card. Below the battery is the SIM card slot.

Keyboard

The monoblock received the usual layout of controls. They consist of a pair of soft keys and buttons for receiving and ending calls. The elements are located on the insert, which is divided into two parts. The buttons have a small and clear stroke; they are pressed with a soft mechanical click. There is enough free space between them to eliminate false positives.

In the center is a four-way navigation key. It is made in the shape of a square with slightly beveled corners. The central part turns out to be slightly recessed due to small sides, which are made of silver plastic and border it.

Below is the keyboard block, which traditionally consists of 12 keys: 3 buttons on each row. Like the navigation block, these elements are made in the form of plates, which are separated from each other by small horizontal slots. They help you navigate between lines of buttons when typing text blindly.

The buttons are convenient to use, although initially they may not seem like the best solution. They are large, press gently, and have a moderate stroke. The symbols are written in white font: both Cyrillic and Latin, and numbers of the same color. They are clearly visible in any conditions due to the contrasting black background. The phone is perfect for those who type a lot of messages.

Screen

The phone's TFT display has a diagonal of 2.4 inches. Up to 262 thousand colors are displayed, the resolution is 240x320 pixels.

The screen implements several stages of brightness adjustment, which allow you to select the optimal backlight level.

On the street, the image fades, but remains readable. It is difficult to see the data under the bright sun.

Screen quality is clearly not relevant strengths models. The viewing angles are small, the colors of the pictures are noticeably distorted, you just need to turn the phone slightly on its side.

Interface

A variety of service information is displayed on the display. The user customizes the desktop at his own discretion; quite a lot of options are offered. You can move the clock around or remove it completely; there are a number of application icons that can be activated without going into the menu, which is convenient. There can be 15 such applications, they are specified at your discretion. For example, you can display a calendar on your desktop, display time in two time zones, display information about missed calls, unread messages, and much more. useful information.

The menu is modified using pre-installed themes, there are 3 of them in total. How to install others is not very clear. Most likely, you will have to use only this set. Moving on the phone may be accompanied by animation effects. Set a picture to decorate your desktop, select a font style in the menu and when dialing a phone number.

There can be up to 18 contact shortcuts on the desktop; each can be assigned a picture for clarity; part of the name is also displayed, but not completely. By selecting a contact, you can see if there have been new messages or calls from him, as well as make a call, write an SMS message or email. From here you can add new data to a contact or view current information about it. If desired, you can remove all additional information displayed if you prefer a laconic design style. Soft keys (the left button opens “Menu”, the right button “Contacts”) cannot be reassigned to perform other functions. The menu is navigated using numeric keys. Actions are assigned to deflect the joystick in all four directions.

The menu consists of 12 icons, 3x4. They cannot be swapped. Navigation using numeric keys throughout the menu works. I really liked that the phone remembers the last item the user stopped at. You can exit to the desktop, log in again, the cursor will be placed on the section where the user was before, if you enter it after that, you will end up in the same place.

Phone book

When you open your contacts, you will see 3 categories. The first is the contacts themselves, which are stored both in the phone’s memory and on the SIM card, of which up to 1000 can be stored in the phone. The other is groups that you can create yourself, adding up to 20 contacts to each, and also assign a melody subscribers combined into one category. And the last one is a generated list of favorite contacts (of which there can be no more than 18), which are also displayed on the desktop if such a function is enabled in the settings. The list of numbers is ordered by first or last name. The phone can display numbers that are stored in its memory or on the SIM card, both together and separately.

Each contact can be assigned 5 numbers, and you can also select a type: mobile, landline, car phone, fax). Additional information includes several addresses Email, send a contact to a group, set a birthday date (it will appear in the calendar), and add a text note and other information.

You can add a ringtone or a picture to the names recorded in the phone book, either from the preset ones or from those you added yourself to the phone’s memory or to a flash card. In contacts there is a function to search for a subscriber by first letter. There is a speed dial function for 18 numbers.

Call log

The call log consists of several categories: all, missed, dialed numbers, received calls, sent messages, received messages. The first section includes all actions: calls, messages, emails, messages from social networks. This is convenient, you can view the entire list and quickly find necessary information, there is no need to go to different menus.

Each of the other categories displays up to 30 numbers. From the call log, you can add a number to an existing contact or create a new one. There is a “black list” function. There is a call log, which displays the time of calls (divided into incoming, outgoing, etc.), a counter of messages and transmitted data. The phone has a fake call function that allows you to imitate incoming call.

Messages

This section contains SMS and MMS. The phone has a memory for 300 messages, and additional SIM card capabilities can be used. As such, there is no division between SMS and MMS: adding a picture, melody or long text, you turn it into multimedia. There is a signal repeat function: if the message has not been read by the owner of the phone, the device can sound a sound signal after a certain period of time (after 2.5 or 10 minutes). There is T9, which helps with typing, and new words that have been added by the user are also displayed.

Messages are grouped both as dialogs and displayed in one shared folder. When sending messages, the phone offers not only recipients from the phone book, but also numbers previously used in correspondence. Unwanted recipients can be blocked, messages received from them will be automatically added to the spam folder, from where they can then be deleted. The input language can be changed via a submenu.

Email

To check email, configure the built-in client necessary for this purpose. You can enter several accounts, the built-in application will help you configure boxes on such popular resources like Google, Yahoo, Windows Live. Creating a mailbox from the popular Mail.ru did not pose any difficulties. You can view your mail either as a general list or examine the contents of different mailboxes individually. As with SMS, you can scale the font. IMAP4, POP3, SMTP, SSL, TLS are supported.

You can set up automatic synchronization on your phone by setting the desired fixed time period (from 30 minutes to 1 day), set the maximum size of the downloaded email (from 100 kb to 5 mb), as well as the number of email messages downloaded to the phone’s memory. An automatic signature can be added to letters sent from your phone. You can also attach any file that is in the phone's memory.

Message blocking works, letters are sent to a separate folder without ending up in the inbox. In general, the email client is well implemented, except that the verification interval is almost automatically selected for all accounts, which may not be very convenient.

Camera

The phone is equipped with a 5-megapixel module with autofocus and flash. The camera is launched from the menu or a dedicated key. However, this can only be done on the main screen. The interface is adapted for shooting in landscape orientation.

Camera settings:

Resolution: 5M (2560x1920) 3.2M (2048x1536), 2M (1600x1200), 1M (1024x768), 0.3M (640x480), 0.1M (320x240 pixels).

White balance: auto, daylight, incandescent, fluorescent, cloudy.

Scene: Portrait, landscape, night, sports, party.

Exposure metering: matrix, central, spot.

Timer: 2, 5, 10 seconds.

Quality: excellent, good, ordinary.

The viewing time is adjusted and auxiliary icons are disabled. In the camera settings, you can set the location for saving pictures (phone memory or card). There is also a feature that allows you to use keys to quickly change settings.

The phone offers fairly good image quality for its money. There is blurring around the edges of the frame. I am pleased with the adequate color rendition and the possibility of macro photography.

Mp3 player

The phone supports playing songs from a memory card, supports the A2DP profile, with which you can listen to music on wireless headphones. Album covers included in song tags are displayed; no problems with encoding were noticed either. The phone plays MP3, WMA, AAC, eAAC, eACC+ formats. The music library supports the following playback settings: all tracks, playlists, albums, artists, genres, frequently played, rarely played.

The display shows the track name, playing time, and song number. The covers included in the file tags are displayed correctly on the screen, and the cover assigned to the song is also shown. The track you are listening to can be assigned as a call or message melody, assigned to a subscriber, or set as an alarm. The player can turn off after a specified period of time (from 30 minutes to 2 hours of operation in background).

There is a mode for replaying both one song and all. You can give your own assessment of the existing compositions, giving a rating on a five-point scale. You can listen to music from playlists created on your computer, or create your own on your phone. The player is minimized. This will display the player menu on the desktop, where you can navigate between tracks and change the music volume.

The user has 9 preset equalizer settings available to the user, but cannot set their own parameters. Interestingly, in the settings you can reassign the actions of the keyboard keys and control the player with their help.

The sound is very good. The phone can act as an alternative to an inexpensive player, especially if you use good headphones.

Radio

The phone allows you to listen to the radio both through headphones and through the phone speaker. There is support for RDS, the device can tune to radio frequencies independently, saving them, you can independently set priority stations and assign a name to them. There is a recording function from the radio; you can save an audio file to a card or phone memory. The receiver also works in the background.

File Manager

The volume of built-in memory is 100 MB. The test used cards with capacities from 4 to 32 GB, all of them worked flawlessly. The built-in file browser can transfer files from folders in the phone memory and memory card, copy, rename and delete them.

Through it you can view and listen to a variety of content. Images are shown as a vertical list or as a matrix of preview images. This includes pictures and videos taken with your phone camera. Data is sent in various ways to other devices.

Browser

The built-in NetFront application has a rich set of settings that are used for more comfortable viewing of information. The browser is capable of loading full-fledged sites, however overall speed work is not the highest. Large resources are not scrolled very quickly. Therefore, those who need regular mobile Internet surfing can be advised to install Opera Mini.

Organizer

The calendar can be shown either as a week or as a month. You can display all the events included in it in a single list; there can be 3 types of them in the phone’s memory: meeting, anniversary, event. Set the start and end times of the reminder. Additionally, a warning signal is installed. The event is assigned a repetition: every day, weekly, biweekly, monthly, annually. You can select the default calendar view: day, week or month, and also set the start day of the week.

Tasks allow you to create events different types with notice.

The phone also stores various text notes in its memory.

You can create 10 alarms by setting the day and time of the alert, with the ability to set the alarm at your discretion. The volume and melody of the signal and the pause between repeated activations are adjusted (from 3 to 30 minutes). The alarm can be set either once or every day, or you can choose repeat days yourself. The phone can only send a vibration signal or a melody, but you can combine them together.

World time shows different time zones.

There is a stopwatch and a timer.

The voice recorder records sounds without a time limit. You can also create shorter entries that are suitable for sending via MMS.

The unit converter is simple and straightforward.

The calculator is equipped with basic functions.

There is an application called Utalk, which is a tool for communication and correspondence. You can also exchange messages via Bluetooth if the other person's phone supports this function. There are several applications for viewing information on various social networks: Twitter, Facebook and others.

Data synchronization works via Active Sync, which allows you to use data from your Google account.

There is a dictionary with interpretation of English words in the same language.

The photo editor will allow you to process files with graphics: pictures or
pictures from the camera.

Highlighted in a separate paragraph backup various data from the phone's memory to the card.

Profiles are 6 different preset and customizable phone settings. The user can create 3 more independently. They change the volume of the ringer, message and keyboard signals, the melody of the call and messages, the type of signal, and turn on the keyboard sound.

Communications

The phone operates in the GSM 850/900/1800/1900/2100 bands. When connecting to a computer, you can either set a single profile initially, or select the parameter of interest each time. The following settings are possible: Kies, USB Mass Storage. In the latter case, it works to transfer various data from the phone to the computer without the need to install drivers.

There is Bluetooth 2.1, which, among many others, also supports the A2DP profile, which is necessary for listening to music using a wireless stereo headset.

Working hours

Installed in the phone lithium ion battery, its capacity is 1000 mAh. Official data says that the talk time is up to 15 hours. In standby mode, the phone can work up to 640 hours.

The average phone operating time is about 3-4 days, taking into account calls for 15-20 minutes a day, a couple of hours of listening to the player and periodic use of other phone functions.

Conclusion

The earpiece volume is sufficient for most situations. The interlocutor can be clearly heard even in the bustle of city streets or subways. The ringer volume is high, I was pleased with the strength of the vibration signal, it feels great.

This is the description of the functions Samsung phone S5610 can be completed. The model turned out to be excellent in almost all respects. I'll start with the shortcomings, the quality of the screen suffers here, I would like to see an attractive picture. The principle of operation of the keyboard is not very clear, because if Russian is selected in the menu, then you cannot type text in Latin characters, you need to select English language the main thing. Otherwise, there are no complaints about the model. I liked the design, build and materials. Good camera and sound in headphones, as well as a well-designed call log.

As I said in the introduction, there are very few such devices now. Less famous manufacturers, for example, Fly or Philips, offer their variations. However, if there is no need for two SIM cards, then you should definitely pay attention to this candy bar. The model is certainly successful.

This sam5610 has been working for me for a long time. It seems like it’s not just a dialer, but also a bunch of nice advanced options. There is a significant drawback - poor sensitivity to the network, where the reception is not very confident, it refuses to work, but the Internet pulls out. The E200 itself works stably under these conditions... it can be very unpleasant, especially on the road, other mobile phones work but your miracle doesn’t and there’s no time to run around looking for a place

Please tell me, is this device capable of recording my telephone conversation?
in chunks of 5 minutes and without beeps and annoying unmasking warnings. So
so that both me and the interlocutor can be heard, and preferably in .wav. I understand that the conference
cooled down judging by the date of the last posting. But still. Or do you think of sewing - yes
I guess. And if it doesn’t write, then is the issue resolved for the sams S 5611. And lastly, how about the quality?
sound in the speech speaker (voice from the barrel)? In general, I really liked him in absentia -
I go and lick my lips. Thanks to those who responded for participating in the agony of choice.

I can’t transfer music or video to my mobile phone from my computer via bluetooth, nothing at all. Tell me what should I do in this situation?

I bought this miracle, a very good phone, everything suits me, but with a reserve charge, it’s really something of a mystery.
Of course, I talk a lot, for a total of two hours a day, the charge lasts accordingly: 3-4 days, that is, 6-7 hours of talk time maximum, but not like 15.

I read the comments and it’s overwhelming! people, this Sams, which has a minimum of functionality, is in your hands and you cannot figure it out (if not based on logic, then at least by random search and sequential search)? It’s terrible, one screws up the body with a simple (or widescreen) video, another doesn’t understand why the camera settings are needed (this also applies to the author of the article, after viewing the photos provided), the third can’t just switch the function so that he can be friends with the computer normally, the fourth can’t time change the locks...............! How do you then handle a computer... if you can’t handle a simple mobile phone? The device, in terms of its price and functionality, is quite worthy of attention! A couple of details from myself - 1. the battery sucks! I'll stir up the topic to install a battery in it larger capacity, because I’m already used to forgetting about charging. 2 I absolutely don’t like the sound from the speakers! It’s kind of metallic, it’s annoying (I found a completely acceptable alternative - Divoom iTour-Boom Jack) and quiet (I have something to compare it with, but no - the sound had to be cranked up)! 3. in the comments, Anatolyk said about a headset from Panasonic, but did not indicate the model, I also have Panosiki, they are also good friends with mobile phones, and I will say their model - RP-TCM120E-K. 4. so that Java does not run into 500 kb, we dial the code *#52828378#, in points 4 and 5 we add 0 to all parameters (but this has its drawbacks - we go beyond the established limits of strain on the body and the code must be entered after each reboot, because The setting fails and the phone reads the installation data when loading). 5 minor flaws, glitches.... fix it and even get some additional settings if you are not lazy and update the firmware! On the Samsung website and on some forums focused purely on mobile devices, there are firmware, patches, alternative firmware! Do not take firmware from any crappy websites or in the comments that are available here! firstly, it can be dangerous for your toy and wallet, and secondly, you should not put it on one side when altering it, and detailed instructions, clarification comments.... are usually not included.

Advantages: The advantages are declared by the manufacturer on the Samsung.com website. I didn’t have time to evaluate them, because although I had two phones in my hands, they were defective and I used each limited time.
Disadvantages: 1. Both handsets had the same significant defect: very limited operating time due to rapid battery discharge. The manufacturer stated on its website: standby time (with SIM card) 960 hours (40 days), talk time (3G) 15 hours or (2G) 5 hours. I bought these numbers. The first phone was completely discharged within a day, the second lasted 80 hours, working for only 1.5 hours, and then turned itself off due to complete discharge. 2. For this phone The Kies program is offered for connecting the phone and computer. This program, to say crude, worthless, is to say nothing. Testing it completely is a waste of time. I dumped all the contacts from the first phone onto the computer so that I could transfer them to the second without any problems. But no, problems just appeared! Firstly, the letter “l” was no longer reproduced on the new phone (Aa remained instead of Alla). Secondly, when entering contacts for the first time, I entered the relevant information in the “mobile phone” and “telephone” columns. And when transferring, the “phones” suddenly became “ mobile phones" Thirdly, the entered addresses disappeared. A new “additional” field has appeared, but it contains incomprehensible icons, complete gobbledygook. Therefore, I had to spend the whole day to restore the initial appearance of the contacts.
Comment: Analyzing the failures with the phones, I came to the conclusion that their total production time was December 2012. Remember Soviet times: products released at the end of the quarter, and especially in the last month of the year, could under no circumstances be purchased. It was all defective: a plan was being made. Considering all of the above, I am completely disappointed in Samsung products, both technical products and software products. If you want a headache, buy products from this company, and if not, avoid it. I was deeply mistaken in believing that Samsung products were worth attention. Consider my experience and do not make similar mistakes.

great phone! but there is one drawback, it applies to all Samsung phones - the keyboard is locked using one "*" key. in your pocket they often unlock and call anywhere. In my opinion, it is better to lock it like Nokia, using a combination of two buttons.

The S 5610 is an excellent phone, I’ve been using it for a year now and communicate a lot at work. It is written that the battery lasts a week and it is. The camera is super!

As a person who does not like touchscreens, this phone seemed normal and pleasant to use. push-button telephone. It’s a little expensive in salons, but in online stores it costs 1 thousand. cheaper. Its menu is convenient, you can change the icons as you want. When returning back, it automatically points back to the same place. Which saves time. An English dictionary is always at hand and easy to use. Lots of chats. I needed a flashlight for my cell phone. Sometimes it’s inconvenient to turn it on quickly. You need to wait until the screen goes dark, only then press the joystick up. The photos are of quite high quality and so are the videos. The most important thing is to set the correct white balance. Eg. in the shade, when it's sunny I set it to Cloudy, and indoors to Incandescent. But usually I have it on automatic. Zoom certainly disappointed me. Don't wait more than 2. But I have a Chinese phone, maybe the Korean ones reach the promised 4? When taking photographs quickly, it is difficult to press the zoom. To do this, you need to go through the options on Permission. But at 5m the zoom does not work, at 32 meters it is only 1.25, at 2m it is 1.6 zoom. Only 0.1 can reach 2. But on the video you can press the zoom right after the start of filming and it immediately goes up to 2. And the zoom controls are convenient - you can press with your thumbs or forefingers if you turn the phone. The zoom button in this case is the volume button on the side of the cell phone. So the phone is multifunctional and convenient as a means of communication.

In defense of this miracle phone in the world of sensors, I will answer: 1. There is a quick dial: contacts - favorites tab (joystick left-right). 2 connecting to a PC is not a problem - settings-connection. to the PC - removable disk and you're done. There are some advantages: with moderate use, the battery lasts for 2 weeks (in the network selection settings, set it to manual instead of automatic), a good camera (you have to “not breathe” while shooting); Cons - disgusting video, for me personally, inconvenient buttons and predictive SMS text input. In Sonya you can type blindly at breakneck speed, but they have poor build quality, a dead battery compared to this phone, they can’t be found on sale right now! and so the pros outweigh the cons, provided that you don’t want a 3in1 device for that kind of money. this is a really great caller with a very good battery and a good camera. I am completely satisfied with the quality of finishing. Previously, there were always Sonya ones, they were killed very quickly (the exception is soft touch plastic, but after 2 years of operation they have to change the key block every six months). The Samsung has been dropped many times, there are no scratches or chips, it just falls into pieces, put the construction set back together and that’s it. but this is not a sensor that you shake over so as not to break it.
By the way, mobiset, the window for comments needs to be made several times. times more. 2 minutes. you write a comment and check for errors twice as long, it’s tiring!!!

S5610 is a pipe not without flaws, but pleasant. Reminded me of the SE K750 (otherwise it was a THING!). For those who don’t want a sensor (just as I didn’t want one myself), the S5610 is what you need. The size is not for children, but it is comfortable for a man’s hand and the screen is large. It’s easy to connect to your computer, just like a flash drive; it doesn’t require any drivers. There is no card included - plus, you don’t have to overpay, but you bought the one you wanted, 16 GB. Flashlight on/off Holding the up button is convenient, no need to navigate through the menu. A menu of 23 (!) icons that can be swapped!!! (for some reason the review says that it is not possible). There are a lot of settings in general. The ease of control is not ideal, but you get used to it. The camera, despite the variety of settings, is rather weak (I compare it with the SE U5 from two years ago). The shutter does not work if the keys are locked - minus. On off. It would be better if they made it a separate button on the end of the case - sometimes I accidentally pressed it. Just like locking the keyboard - it would be better to press two different buttons (like on the SE K750), sometimes you accidentally unlock it. And so tel. a solid “4”, and even more so for that kind of money.

No wired headset is suitable, including the recommended original one. This is the only reason I regret taking it. When the speakerphone is turned on, the subscriber on the other end begins to have difficulty distinguishing my speech. the camera is good. The Internet is cheerful. As always, 50/50 pros and cons.

my rating is 2 out of 3. no headphones included, most games are not supported, but they are good camera Charging lasts a long time Last time I charged it was a week ago The phone is convenient and appearance positive

for some reason the music on my phone plays terribly through a wired headset. I connected a different one (from Nokia) I thought the point was that I needed the original one. I went to the store and connected the Samsung company, same thing. The seller himself said that most likely the problem is in the phone. I sent it to the service center under warranty, I'm waiting for the results. Has anyone else had problems like this? I'm waiting for a response to my address: [email protected]

Thank you in advance.

Has anyone been able to connect this phone to a computer? Where can I get the driver?

Disadvantages to use:
1) Inconvenient transition to English/language for SMS: multi-stage through a submenu (for all other previous Samsungs this was solved by switching registers for the font);
2) There are no speed dial keys. Why?
3) I’m struggling with the miniSD card to assign melodies (to subscribers and groups of subscribers) from the Music folder, but so far without success. At first there was such an opportunity, but after downloading an additional folder of the third audio album, the device went into failure: play music - please, but see the tracks for assigning melodies - no, it doesn’t see it.

P.S. Thanks for the tip about using a flashlight.

The phone is a complete mess, connecting to a PC is a real hassle, it’s almost impossible to connect to a PC without a brain problem. SUCKS. But if you squeeze it, it’s a disaster, don’t take it.

Posted by: Yarik
the biggest disadvantage I would say is a huge one of these games and applications
support up to 500kb well, it’s so-so
but the memory of 6 MB of them is filled with the system without the possibility of deletion
3mb
= 3 MB available this is a circus
there is no possibility of installation on the card
does not support 3D games
and in principle I’m satisfied with everything I don’t regret that I bought it

I forgot to mention the display, although it is in the review - its only advantage is the diagonal and its second advantage is brightness. Otherwise, it evokes sad associations with a little less on the X2-00. No, this is not 2.4 Zaynovsky and not the 2.36 that is on the W910 (2008 and 2007, respectively). If there was one like these, I would buy it without hesitation.

All in all, it's a good device, if Sams doesn't piss you off, but it's quite large - as wide as Nokia 5230/5228/5800, and even larger in height.
I don’t understand how AF works, there seems to be no half-press on the camera button, you press it all the way - it somehow focuses before shooting just like 6303 without human intervention. I use the central navigation key, like on my C901, the device twitches less, and the percentage of successful shots is higher. The C5610 has a very good scene for shooting texts (this is what I noticed, the device is not mine). Another thing that caught my eye was the slowdown in the camera application, everything was much slower than in the regular menu.
By the way, gentlemen, why didn’t anyone mention the C901? Also 5 MP/AF/Xenon like N82 and ZN5? And it seems to me that it is at least as good as them.

The review is not complete until details are missing. If possible, please add to the review. The following is very interesting: when recording from a radio - what format, bitrate, sampling frequency, as well as all this when recording from a voice recorder and recording from telephone conversations(if it exists). Collapsibility of Java applications and multitasking.

My Samsung U100 (the thinnest (5.9mm) and lightest (65g)) is completely dilapidated. Out of production for three years now. It’s probably no longer possible to buy a used one in good condition. I bought a Nokia X3 yesterday (it seems to be thin (9.6mm) and light (78g)). Today I returned it to the store. What kind of idiot came up with this unlocking mode: press the button on the side and then press the touch display (this happened after painfully poking at all places on the display). Rave!!
I'm completely used to touch typing. And then there are the cute little touch-sensitive scrolling menus!
No more experiments with Nokia, no more experiments with touch displays. I will buy Samsung 5610.

Good day everyone, after reading it I realized that, as always, we are pouring from empty to empty, I have Nokia, which means everything is UG, I have Samsung, Nokia is UG, I’m dumbfounded)
In fact, I read 2-3 reviews, 5 videos on YouTube... + tech. Characteristics and I realized that for 100 bucks there are no analogues, the phone is reminiscent of the hit of those times 63 00, well done Samsung, this phone will find many of its fans, I will take it))
PS People who disagree, that’s your right, but that’s just your opinion and the fact remains the facts. The phone claims to be pointless, just like the 6300 was in its time.

Will Skype work on it???

Posted by: alex
Everything would be fine, but any phone must have a flashlight! Here I was able to light it only by entering the video shooting mode. Tell me how to do this easier.

I enjoyed using Nokia 6610, 6600,7610. I bought an x-6 32g, looked at a couple of new Nokias, now I think that Samsung is ahead in terms of body quality. The thing that bothers me is that Nokia has all the looseness and gaps like on the 2110 on the rear doors.

Basically I always used SE,
good nutritional indicators and a convenient menu IMHO.
But the connectors were disgusting, and even after using them for a year, they began to act up.
I consider this 5610 just a gift. As a “dialer” with more than basic functions. Sorry I can't find it yet good software for pairing with a PC, in this moment connection using Networking Wizard. The battery lasts 4 days easily, even with constant disappearing from the 3G network and searching for it. The camera copes with routine photographing of price tags and accidents. Good review, If I had seen it earlier, I would have purchased the phone without a second thought.
I really agree with Sergio. Good luck and good mood to everyone.

Posted by: Sergio
Gentlemen, why are you arguing?! It’s completely pointless to prove to each other that this or that is better. A phone is like a phone. Everyone has their pros and cons. If the X-2 had autofocus, I might have taken it. Or the SE had a normal, extended call log and a 3.5 output for headphones, I would have taken it. Everyone chooses a thing based on a set of characteristics that are important to him. It is complete nonsense to prove to others that this is the most terrible or the most beautiful phone in the world.

Posted by: Kairat
Silver Surfer, here you go. And there are millions like Sergio! And at the same time, he did not impulsively rush to the device as if it were a new product, but purposefully chose between devices that were similar in price and functions. And for more than a moderate amount, a person received a lot of useful things “in one bottle.”
“It’s just that there is good, and then there is cheap...” But this example shows that cheap doesn’t mean bad, right?
Makin, I have nothing against the N82. Moreover, I consider this device one of the best smart phones Nokia throughout its history. Simply having such powerful hardware, such developments and resources, Nokia simply did not have the right to concede to anyone in any characteristics. But the fact remains: with such slow hardware, Motorola managed to make the best (in my opinion) 5MP sensor at that time (in terms of indoor shooting, natural colors, white balance, etc.). And in terms of sound quality, the Motor was generally ahead of the rest.

It’s an excellent phone, I’ve been using it since the beginning of November 11. The one who called it fat was clearly upset. What I needed was a push-button all-in-one with a good camera and a flashlight (the author didn’t mention that the flash works as a flashlight). I walked and walked around stores, but I didn’t find anything worthwhile. Elm really doesn’t like the overly primitive call log, and the X-2 doesn’t have autofocus (and its presence was fundamental, I think it’s idiotic to make a 5 megapixel camera without autofocus). And here he is - S5610. I used it, bought it, and still have no regrets. Excellent body. Battery lasts for four days - easy.

Kairat, I had (still have, but don’t use) an N82 and I can say with confidence that it is one of the best smarts of its time. If we make a comparison, I will choose the AK-74: simple and unpretentious. 3D accelerator for N-Gage, accelerometer, great GPS, relatively light weight. I changed the case, rearranged the batteries on a long journey, and it fell many times. The display is readable in the sun. If you buy just for the photo part, then it’s better to buy a regular soap dish, right? In any case, you yourself understand that a regular mobile phone is no match for a smartphone. By some criteria it is better in the photo, but the evening time for the N82 + is much better quality video. So, my friend, this already radically changes things. N82 is much cooler.

Silver Surfer, I think we speak different languages. It’s hard to prove something to a person who puts everyone under the same brush, who thinks that millions of people do nothing but rush into stupid, impulsive purchases of unnecessary things, and then look for something expensive. Explaining to you that there is a category of people who will never buy something more expensive than a certain amount is also useless! Do you prefer the end result? Then take a look at the sales volume of each segment of digital technology, at the dry numbers of each device sold. And then maybe these statistics will become a discovery for you of the real world of people...

Posted by: Kairat
I repeat for those especially gifted: I don’t need a camera phone! I bought ZN5 for completely different reasons (design, great sound in the player, reasonable price). The camera is one of strong virtues this device, which even such a monster as the N82 turned out to be too tough to surpass. As for the “defects,” as we know, they are shock products that are sold in multi-million dollar batches all over the world. People vote with rubles, and if these devices are sold more than others, it means they were, are and will be. Whether you like it or not.

Silver Surfer, I don't need a camera phone. I say that for the money, such a camera in the S5610 is just a gift! Try and find something similar on the new Nokia all-in-one PCs at that price? X2-00, C5-00 5MP? Sorry, but they're not holding out. And the “day before yesterday” 6500 classic is even less of a match. I’m not a fan of Samsung, my Motik ZN5 will outshine any 5MP monoblock that we’ve ever sold in terms of photos. I'm just stating a fact. After all, if someone has come up with a successful model based on a combination of characteristics, then why not admit it?

Posted by: Kairat
Silver Surfer, 2-megapixel camera of Nokia 6500 classic without autofocus (like on 6300) compared with the camera of Samsung S5610 - this, of course, was a strong word! It’s like creating an idol for yourself in order to compare dead optics from 5 years ago with the new 5MP autofocus!

Posted by: Makin
Silver Surfer, I disagree about the full copy. Agree that metal in the case and shiny, cheap plastic are two different things. Nokia created such masterpieces as 6300, 6700. And Samsung does the same, only from plastic.

Posted by: Makin
When I saw the number on the screen of this phone, I had an association with the Chinese circus. All-in-one keyboards are not the thing of the Koreans; they turn out to be very ugly and have poor materials. If we take the Nokia 6700 classic (2009) and this model, then everything is clear without words. In addition, I constantly see elements of plagiarism from Samsung, which is disgusting.

Posted by: Bogdan
I’ll add a little - it’s good in terms of characteristics, metal, 2011 issue, and they acted cunningly at the price. So a flurry rained down on me that I wanted to exchange it for 73.82-nk, with an additional payment. I answer, yours is already old. The price of the samsa is clearly understated in order to improve the finances (well done) - this does not mean that it is bad. Yes - 2 times it turned itself off, and once it turned itself on (when the state is off, but this is once every 2 months. So is the T82, 73 also occasionally hung up. The latest Nokias without autofocus, with the declared pixels, are not even close to the 5610, I bought a 2730-use as a modem and dialer. Which are 5m pixels without autofocus - the same, they can’t take photos of corpses moving. It’s just a “trick that everything new is worse than the old (almost) I lost a lot of money while I found the average one. Because you buy it for a lot of money, but the quality is as average - why?

Posted by: ralf_fans
Without any problems, you can buy button pushers from Sony Ericsson (Kedr, Elm). Elm's screen is very good, and the interface is much more convenient.
The same Nokia also has enough push-button models. However, Fly, Phillips and Samsung are mentioned. This is only possible if you take it at a price, because everyone has their own cockroaches inside, often very significant ones.

There are not 12 icons, but 23, and you can change their places. Everything else seems to be correct, the review is not bad

Silver Surfer, for just one camera with a flash, you can forgive him everything! It’s just a pity that it’s not a 2-SIM card, it would have become the candy bar of the year IMHO.

Monoblock Samsung S5610 It turned out neat and cute. The body is gray, so it goes equally well with the classic image of a business person and the rhythm of life of a young user. The basic light gray color of the plastic shell is diluted with darker inserts on the front and back. In the first case, this will be the keyboard block, and in the second, an aluminum part that is fixed in the removable cover. Device dimensions 119.2x49.7x12.9 mm, weight 91 g The body is relatively thick compared to touch phones. However, for a candy bar with buttons, these are normal parameters, and there is no question of any excessive bulkiness here. The phone has a good weight distribution, thanks to it and well-thought-out ergonomics it fits well in the hand. It fits well into clothing pockets and is comfortable to use. At the top there is a hole for the earpiece, which is located under a plastic insert with numerous holes. The back cover has a rather original design.

It combines a plastic base, which is almost completely covered with an aluminum insert. This surface looks beautiful, and just holding the device in your hand will be very pleasant. The panel holds tightly, there is not the slightest play or squeak. It is worth mentioning the overall build quality of the phone, which is worthy of the highest praise. The camera lens is located in the center, next to them are the speaker slots. On the other side there is a flash. By sliding the cover down, you can see the hole for the memory card. Below the battery is the SIM card slot.

TFT display Samsung S5610 has a diagonal of 2.4 inches. Up to 262 thousand colors are displayed, the resolution is 240x320 pixels. The screen implements several stages of brightness adjustment, which allow you to select the optimal backlight level. For example, you can display a calendar on your desktop, display time in two time zones, display information about missed calls, unread messages and much other useful information. S5610 equipped with a 5-megapixel module with autofocus and flash. The camera is launched from the menu or a dedicated key. However, this can only be done on the main screen. The interface is adapted for shooting in landscape orientation. The phone has a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 1000 mAh. Official data says that the talk time is up to 15 hours. In standby mode, the phone can work up to 640 hours.

Average operating time Samsung S5610 is about 3-4 days, taking into account calls of 15-20 minutes a day, a couple of hours of listening to the player and periodic use of other phone functions. The earpiece volume is sufficient for most situations. The interlocutor can be clearly heard even in the bustle of city streets or subways. The ringer volume is high, I was pleased with the strength of the vibration signal, it feels great.

You can buy a Samsung S5610 phone at a low price on our website.

With a 5-megapixel camera, you can take great photos anytime, anywhere. The camera is equipped with autofocus and flash, as well as a wide 2.4-inch LCD display. All this guarantees an excellent result! Convenient folder management will help you easily organize your photos, and the built-in photo editor will allow you to process images directly on your phone.

Dimensions 119.2x49.7x12.9 mm, weight 91 g. The body is relatively thick when compared with touch phones.

At the top end of the phone there is a standard 3.5 mm jack to which any headphones can be connected. A microUSB port is located in the center. It is protected by a sliding plug from dust and small debris. This is a simple and reliable design.

There is a volume rocker on the left side. It has a comfortable texture, it is easy to feel and press with little effort and works clearly. There is also a hole for attaching a strap.

On the right there is a dedicated key for shooting fairly large sizes.

There is a microphone at the bottom.

The back cover has a rather original design. It combines a plastic base, which is almost completely covered with an aluminum insert. This surface looks beautiful, and just holding the device in your hand will be very pleasant.

The panel holds tightly, there is not the slightest play or squeak. It is worth mentioning the overall build quality, which is worthy of the highest praise.

Screen

The screens are as follows: the TFT display has a diagonal of 2.4 inches, displays up to 262 thousand colors, and the resolution is 240x320 pixels.

The screen implements several stages of brightness adjustment, which allow you to select the optimal backlight level.

On the street, the image fades, but remains readable. It is difficult to see the data under the bright sun.

The screen quality is clearly not one of the model's strengths.

For example, you can display a calendar on your desktop, display time in two time zones, display information about missed calls, unread messages and much other useful information.

Menu S5610 modified using pre-installed themes, there are 3 of them in total.

The first is the contacts themselves, which are stored both in the phone’s memory and on the SIM card, of which up to 1000 can be stored. The other is groups that you can create independently, adding up to 20 contacts to each, and also assign a melody to the combined into one category for subscribers.

Additional information includes several email addresses, sending a contact to a group, setting a birthday date (it will appear in the calendar), and adding a text note and other information.

This is convenient, you can view the entire list and quickly find the information you need, there is no need to go to different menus.

Each of the other categories displays up to 30 numbers. From the call log, you can add a number to an existing contact or create a new one. There is a “black list” function. There is a call log, which displays the time of calls (divided into incoming, outgoing, etc.), a counter of messages and transmitted data. The phone has a fake call feature that allows you to simulate an incoming call.

Messages

This section contains SMS and MMS. GT-S5610 has a memory for 300 messages, and the capabilities of the SIM card can also be used. As such, there is no division between SMS and MMS: by adding a picture, melody or long text to a simple text message, you turn it into multimedia.

You can enter several accounts; the built-in application will help you set up mailboxes on such popular resources as Google, Yahoo, Windows Live. Creating a mailbox from the popular Mail.ru did not pose any difficulties. You can view your mail either as a general list or examine the contents of different mailboxes individually. As with SMS, you can scale the font. IMAP4, POP3, SMTP, SSL, TLS are supported.

In phone Samsung GT-S5610 you can set automatic synchronization by setting the desired fixed time period (from 30 minutes to 1 day), set the maximum size of the downloaded letter (from 100 kb to 5 mb), as well as the number of e-mail messages downloaded to the phone memory.

At the time of publication it was around 4,500 rubles. And for this money the phone offers fairly good image quality. There is blurring around the edges of the frame. I am pleased with the adequate color rendition and the possibility of macro photography.

The video recording capabilities are quite simple. The maximum resolution is 320x240 pixels, 30 frames per second. There is a lower quality mode, as well as a number of settings.

Example video:

The player can turn off after a specified period of time (from 30 minutes to 2 hours of operation in the background).
