Popular smartphones. For those looking for an inexpensive option

Time to once again take a tour through the list of the best Android smartphones currently on the market (January 2014). There are a few new phones out there, including one for all of us pure Android fans.

Want something bigger than your smartphone? Then it’s worth taking a closer look at a new category of device called phablet.

If I had to choose one of them, my choice would be the Nexus 5 from Google, because it is a powerful and full-featured smartphone with pure Android without add-ons and any manufacturer's skins.

This the only phone, which will guarantee Android updates throughout the entire service life.

However, I have to admit that some of the features found on the Samsung Galaxy S4 make it a great choice for people who buy the device for personal use, but also use the same technology at work for everyday business tasks.

A list of the best phablets of 2014 looks like that:

Google Nexus 5

Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition"

1. Google Nexus 5

Not only that in N exus features the best components currently available, it also gives the user the joy of being immersed in pure Android and gives owners access to the very latest Android 4.4 KitKat.

Nexus owners also receive updates directly from Google and don't have to wait for OEMs to release custom updates, if at all, as this is still the case with many phones.

– Android 4.4 KitKat
– 2.23 GHz, 4 cores, Qualcomm MSM8974 Snapdragon 800, Adreno 330
– 4.95″ inches, 1080×1920 resolution, 445 ppi, touch, capacitive, multi-touch 10 touches, True HD IPS Plus, Gorilla Glass 3
– 8 MP camera, flash, autofocus, optical stabilization
– 1.3 MP front
– 16/32GB of internal memory

Galaxy Note 3, as you probably already realized, is the next Galaxy Note.

It brought a whole host of improvements and is currently the only phone or phablet compatible with Samsung's new Galaxy Gear smartwatch (support for devices like the Note 2, as well as the Galaxy S3 and S4 should arrive before the end of the year).

– Android 4.3 Jelly Bean
– 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor
– 5.7 inches, 1920 x 1080 resolution, 388 dpi

– 13 MP main camera, flash, autofocus
– 2MP front
– 4G LTE
– NFC
– 32/64GB of internal memory

Absolutely new HTC One is one of the top Android smartphones.

The HTC One has the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor (though it's a little slower than the Samsung Galaxy S4), 2GB of RAM and a 1080p screen, but they're still very different thanks to HTC's bold Sense user interface.

It also has an aluminum body, unlike the Samsung Galaxy S4, which is made of plastic.

– Jelly Bean (Android 4.2) with HTC's Sense user interface
– 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor
– 4.7-inch Super LCD display, Full HD, pixel density (468ppi)
– 4MP main camera
– 2.1MP front
– 32/64GB internal memory

The flagship Galaxy S4 has powerful processor, battery replacement, microSD slot, and can even be used as a remote control remote control for digital DVR.

We really liked the HTC One, but the Galaxy S4 is better in almost every way (except perhaps the plastic body).

Another quality that sets Galaxy S4 apart from others is that it is the king among all Android smartphones.

– Jelly Bean (Android 4.2.2)
– 1.9 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor (1.6 GHz Exynos 5 Octa available in select markets)
– 5-inch Super AMOLED display, pixel density (441ppi)
– 13MP main camera

– MicroSD slot

This smartphone, or rather phablet, is new to the list. Sony Xperia Z Ultra has a lot interesting features, clear LCD screen, 13 MP camera capable of recording HDR video.

It is also thin, its thickness is 6.5 millimeters.

But don't let the thinness fool you. Xperia Z is a strong and tough smartphone with tempered glass, and saw- and waterproof, IP58 protection standard.

The Xperia Z smartphone is suitable for you if you like to bathe your phone in water at a depth of 1 meter, but want it to work perfectly.

– Jelly Bean (Android 4.2)
– 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor
– 6.4-inch TFT 1920 x 1080 display, with 342 pixels per inch
and updated Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 technology
– 8 MP main camera
– 2 megapixel front
– 16 GB of internal memory
– Compatible with Sony SmartWatch 2
– MicroSD slot

The Samsung Galaxy Note II Android smartphone is designed for people with big hands and big pockets.

Note II is well stuffed with the most modern features. It even has an S Pen, which is used for copying text, cropping images, and sharing content.

– Jelly Bean (Android 4.1)
– 1.6 GHz 4-core Samsung processor Exynos processor
– 5.5-inch Super AMOLED HD display
– 8 MP main camera
– 1.9 MP front
– 16/32/64GB internal memory
– MicroSD slot

7. Samsung Galaxy S4 “Google Play Edition”

I like the idea of the Samsung Galaxy S4, but I prefer a device that offers the bare-bones Google Android experience.

How do you like the idea of a Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone, but without the Samsung TouchWiz shell, but just pure, naked Android from Google?

Or maybe you just want an unlocked phone. Either way, take a look at the Samsung Galaxy S4 “Google Play Edition.”

This is the same Galaxy S4, with the same internal filling, but without all the add-ons and decorations from Samsung. Some people love it, others hate it. But if you want it, it's yours, unlocked, for $649.

– Naked Jelly Bean (Android 4.2.2), it delivers the same experience as the Nexus
– 1.9GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor
– 5-inch Super AMOLED display, pixel density (441ppi)
– 13 MP main camera
– 2 megapixel front
– 16 GB of internal memory
– MicroSD slot

I used to be quite partial to Motorola phones even before the iPhone. They were well built, had decent performance and good reliability.

The Moto X is interesting not because it's made by Motorola, which is now owned by Google, but because it takes a new approach to computing power.

Instead of having one chip with multiple cores, the Moto X has a total of 8 cores that are based on four different chips, each doing its own thing.

4 cores for graphics, 2 cores for the processor, there is a processor for speech and voice recognition, and another one displays information on the screen in standby mode. In this way, it is expected to speed up the operation of the smartphone and increase the autonomy of the device.

– Jelly Bean (Android 4.2.2)
– Motorola X8 computing system, consisting of a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro with clock frequency 1.7 GHz, 4-core Adreno 320 GPU and two low-power processors that are used for speech and voice recognition, and another one for displaying information in standby mode
– 4.7-inch AMOLED HD 720p display
– 10 MP main camera
– 2 megapixel front
– 16/32GB internal memory
– NFC
- Wireless charger

Do you think other smartphones are small? Do you have big hands? Big pockets? Carry a large bag with you?

Answered “Yes” to one or more of these questions? Galaxy Mega is definitely made for you!

Samsung makes phones various sizes, but this 6.3-inch phablet (a cross between a phone and a tablet) is at the level of what's possible and is fantastic for a smartphone in terms of screen size.

Mega, of course, is not for everyone, but if you want a smartphone that can be used as a tablet, then you should pay attention to the Galaxy Mega 6.3

– Jelly Bean (Android 4.2.2)
– 1.7 GHz dual-core processor
– 6.3-inch 1280 x 720 display
– 8 MP main camera
– 1.9 MP front
– 16 GB of internal memory
– 3200 mAh with replaceable battery
– MicroSD card slot
– NFC

10.LG G2

In an attempt to differentiate itself from other phablet manufacturers, LG decided to place hardware buttons on the back of the device.

According to the company, this reduces accidental button presses and also makes it easier for left-handed users. LG G2 has a luxurious screen, excellent performance, high-quality sound in headphones and great time battery life batteries.

– Android 4.2.2 ‘Jelly Bean’
– 2.26 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor
– 5.2-inch Full HD 1080p IPS display, 423 pixels per inch
– 13 MP main camera
– 2.1MP main camera
– 16/32GB of internal memory

In 2014, manufacturers continued the trend of producing “miniature” versions of their flagship models. This was done, for example, by Samsung, HTC and Sony, and Apple showed two iPhones at once in the fall: the large 6 Plus (5.5 inches) and a more compact one with a 4.7-inch screen. Vesti.Hitek selected the most significant representatives of this category of the outgoing of the year.

iPhone 6

Compared to last year's iPhone 5S, . Its screen size has grown from 4 to 4.7 inches, the body thickness has decreased from 7.6 to 6.9 millimeters, and the weight has increased from 112 to 129 grams. Despite the new proportions, iPhone 6 is comfortable to hold: the “smooth” design, combined with reduced thickness, ensures an excellent fit of the device in the hand.

High-definition Retina display (1334x750 pixels), elegant appearance, powerful 64-bit A8 chip with two cores and high quality camera make iPhone 6 one of the best smartphones on the market.

And yet, there is something to complain about. Firstly, compared to the 5S, the battery volume has increased from 1560 to 1810 mAh, but there is no real increase in battery life (apparently due to the larger screen and powerful hardware). At the same time, the 5.5-inch phablet 6 Plus received a much more capacious battery, as much as 2915 mAh. Secondly, at iPhone cameras 6 missing system optical stabilization images, while the same 6 Plus has such a function. In addition, the NFC chip will be useless for Russian users, because payment Apple function Pay only works in the USA.

In the Apple online store, the simplest model of an “elite” smartphone (16 GB) is sold for 39,990 rubles. The option with a 64 GB drive will cost 46,990 rubles, with 128 GB – 52,990 rubles.

Sony Xperia Z3 Compact

It is deservedly considered one of the best compact Android smartphones. Unlike the 5.2-inch flagship Z3, its screen is smaller (4.6"), but the hardware is no less powerful. Its trump cards: 4-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor (2.5 GHz), Adreno 330 graphics, 2 gigabytes of RAM, support for large microSD cards (128 GB) and LTE networks.

The Z3 Compact's angular design may not be to everyone's taste. However, it has the features Xperia series: glass back cover, thin frames around the screen, high quality assemblies. Finally, the mini-flagship is not afraid of moisture and dust, that is, it can be immersed in fresh water without harm and kept there for up to half an hour.

The device runs on Android 4.4.4, and an update to 5.0 (Lollipop) is guaranteed. When we tested the Z3 Compact, we liked almost everything about it, from its performance to its long-lasting battery. Perhaps the only disappointment was quiet speakers. Can't hear incoming call It’s unlikely to work, but it’s better to listen to music only with headphones.

Z3 Compact is quite acceptable in terms of price/quality ratio. You can order it in Russian online stores for 22-23 thousand rubles.

Samsung Galaxy Alpha

By creating, the Koreans made an attempt to move away from the “plasticity” inherent in the Galaxy line. Most stylish smartphone Samsung received a metal frame, rounded corners of the case, and a narrow chrome speaker grille. Back cover covered with soft matte plastic. Taking the risk of experimenting, the company created a very attractive device, even somewhat similar to the iPhone.

The diagonal of the “alpha smartphone” is 4.7 inches. The screen matrix is made using Super AMOLED technology, but its resolution is not amazing - 1280x720. The filling of the smartphone with a “premium” design is almost flagship: 8-core Chia Exynos 5, Mali-T628 graphics, 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory. Slots for microSD cards he doesn't have.

From Galaxy flagship The S5 device borrows a fingerprint scanner and a heart rate sensor. The battery capacity is small: 1860 mAh, but the reduced HD display resolution and energy-efficient platform allow the device to operate for a long time. In our tests, the Galaxy Alpha was able to continuously play video at full brightness for just over 7 hours.

Galaxy Alpha will cost about the same amount as the Xperia Z3 Compact: 22-23 thousand rubles.

Samsung Galaxy S5 mini

Design, filling and even software Galaxy S5 mini is almost no different from its “big brother”. It has the same 4-core processor (but the frequency is lower: 1.4 versus 2.5 GHz for the full-size S5) and a comparable amount of RAM (1.5 versus 2 GB), which is quite enough for comfortable operation of almost any application. The device is also compatible with two SIM cards and is capable of operating within LTE networks.

Mini console, and not in better side, was reflected in the display, which shrank from 5.1 to 4.5 inches, and the resolution dropped from Full HD to HD 1280x720 pixels. In addition, the compact alternative to the flagship is equipped with a less capacious battery (2100 mAh versus 2800) and an 8-megapixel camera (versus the 16-megapixel sensor of the S5), which cannot shoot 4K video.

Like the Galaxy Alpha and the larger S5, the mini smartphone comes with a fingerprint sensor that can be used to unlock the device and authorize payments, as well as a heart rate monitor. In Russian online stores, the S4 mini costs approximately 17 thousand rubles.

HTC One mini 2

Inherited a “premium” appearance flagship model: aluminum body (which, however, is “diluted” with plastic around the edges), rounded corners, BoomSound speakers. Compared to last year’s HTC mini-smartphone, the display of its “reissue” has grown to 4.5 inches (like the Galaxy S5 mini), but the resolution remains the same (1280x720), and the density has decreased slightly: from 341 to 326 pixels. Moreover, the 5-inch flagship has a resolution of Full HD and a ppi parameter of 441.

The Taiwanese company had to sacrifice not only the screen. If the flagship received an “ultra-pixel” camera, then the mini 2 got a regular 13-megapixel photo module. The flagship RAM capacity has been reduced by half (to 1 GB), and in this parameter the HTC One mini 2 is inferior to almost all of its classmates, including the Samsung Galaxy S5 mini (1.5 GB) and the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact (2 GB).

Despite some concessions, One mini 2 turned out to be a pretty good compact device, with an impressive design and powerful sound. You can buy it for 17-19 thousand rubles.

Huawei Ascend P6S

At an affordable price - approximately 13 thousand rubles. The smartphone's hardware is quite average. The “Chinese” is equipped with a 4.7-inch screen (720x1280), an 8-megapixel camera, a 4-core (Cortex-A9) HiSilicon chip and Mali 450-MP4 graphics. The amount of RAM is 2 GB.

The smartphone's assets include its small thickness (6.5 mm), support for two active SIM cards (that is, you can, for example, receive two calls at once and switch between them) and the ability to work with gloves, which is especially important in the winter months.

Among the disadvantages: a small amount of built-in memory (16 GB, in fact about 12 GB is available), and you cannot connect microSD cards to it. I would also like a battery larger capacity. The built-in (and non-removable) 2000 mAh battery is enough to watch HD video for about 5.5 hours.

Fly Tornado Slim

Will appeal to people who like very thin and at the same time inexpensive smartphones. Officially, this model is the thinnest (5.15 millimeters) among those currently officially sold in the world. Moreover, such a case could accommodate an 8-core MediaTek chip with a frequency of 1.7 GHz, ensuring stable operation of games and resource-intensive applications.

But we had to save on support for two SIM cards, RAM (1 GB) and flash memory: the Tornado Slim has a 16 GB drive, of which 11 GB are available to the user. For obvious reasons, the battery of the Fly Tornado Slim is not the most capacious - 2050 mAh, more in such slim body wouldn't fit.

The new product costs 13 thousand rubles, like the Ascend P6S. The Huawei device beats the Fly in some characteristics, without being inferior in price, but it is one and a half millimeters thicker than the new product.

The review was prepared by Oleg Ilyukhin with the participation of Andrey Borzenko and Nikolay Belkin

Hundreds of thousands of Internet users took part in the “Best Gadget 2014 According to Runet” project, compiling a completely “people's” rating of electronics. One of the most interesting nominations was voting for the best flagship smartphones of 2014.

Ten models from the most famous manufacturers made it to the top. They are the ones included in our review of 2014 flagship smartphones today.

Nexuses released different manufacturers- HTC, Samsung and LG. The model from Motorola has a 5.96-inch screen, a 4-core processor, 3 GB of RAM, as well as up to 64 GB of user memory, stereo speakers, wireless charging. There is no card slot.

The average price is 54,900 rubles.

The 6-inch screen turns the device into a mini-tablet in an aluminum case. Z2 Pro supports two SIM cards, has a 4-core processor and a 16 MP camera. A capacious battery allows you to use all the capabilities of the device without hassle.

The average price is 40,200 rubles.

Distinctive features of Mate 7 are a thin metal body, a powerful processor and a fingerprint scanner. Users can choose from three cases - gold, black or white.

The average price is 31,900 rubles.

The flagship in a metal case on Windows Phone 8.1. Lumia 930 has a 5-inch screen, a 20 MP camera, and 32 GB of user memory. You won't be able to increase the amount of memory - there is no microSD slot.

The average price is 25,300 rubles.

6. LG G3

The flagship has a 4-core processor, a 13 MP camera, a 5.46-inch screen, which occupies more than 76% of the front surface of the device. The display resolution is 4 times higher than HD and almost 2 times higher than Full HD.

The average price is 26,800 rubles.

The new flagship from Samsung has a 5.7-inch screen, 32 GB of user memory, an 8-core processor with 3 GB of RAM, and a 16 MP camera. Like its main competitor (the sixth iPhone), the model has a fingerprint scanner.

The average price is 39,000 rubles.

A traditional feature of YotaPhone is the presence of color and black and white displays (diagonals - 5 and 4.7 inches). For a black and white screen Yota offers special applications. The gadget is based on a 4-core processor 2200 MHz.

The average price is 39,000 rubles.

The flagship has a 4-core processor and operates in 3G and 4G LTE networks. The M8 screen has a diagonal of 5 inches, the device supports memory cards. The camera allows you to shoot even in low light with an aperture of f2.

The average price is 32,000 rubles.

The top, which includes the flagship smartphones of 2014, is unthinkable without Apple products. The sixth iPhone has a 4.7-inch display, three color variations, and three options for internal memory capacity. The gadget is powered by an A8 processor and an M8 motion coprocessor.

Price – from 53,990 rubles.

Best flagship of 2014
it is reliably protected by proprietary Sony technologies from moisture and dust, has an excellent 20.7 MP camera, a 5.2-inch screen, a 4-core 2,500 MHz processor, 3 GB of RAM, 16 GB of user internal memory with support for cards with a capacity of up to 128 GB (microSD).

The average price is 35,800 rubles.

Inexpensive smartphones are also the best. Very inexpensive. For this model, the eminent manufacturer has set the price that various kinds of “Highscreens” and the like usually try to grab for themselves at the edge of the market. One could suspect Intel of helping, which may have given ASUS its mobile Atoms at half price, but later a version of Zenfone with LTE support appeared - already on a Qualcomm chip. It turns out that they are beating the market for their own.

The smartphone turned out to be powerful, fast, its camera takes excellent pictures in the dark, competing in this with Nokia Lumia 930, and the software shell of the device is thought out in detail and is not overloaded with “whistles” - for example, other manufacturers have already begun to borrow the division of the notification area into two tabs.

6.Huawei Ascend Mate7

Huawei Ascend Mate7

Huawei is growing from the bottom up - from budget models to top ones. And finally the Chinese managed to do something worthwhile. Mate7 is no longer a smartphone, but a whole phablet, that is, a lampshade, that is, a “shovel”. That is, it fits in your pocket, but walking up the stairs is no longer convenient.

But on its 6-inch screen it is convenient to work with everything that previously required tablets. Plus you can make calls using it. Plus, it catches excellently, thanks to a pair of antennas at the ends of the body - at any given time the one that is not covered by the hand is used. Plus, you can take it and not charge it in the evening, and it will still last another whole day. Finally, the main plus: the fingerprint scanner on the rear panel. True, it only allows you to unlock the phone or part of the files in it, but it would be possible to assign different applications to launch on different fingers. The Chinese haven’t thought it through; there is still room to grow.

5. Nokia Lumia 930

Windows Phone - very unusual operating system. From the first second of meeting it, you understand that it was made by very kind, sensitive people, filled with love for each user. The problem is that all these people know nothing about each other and act in the first person singular. Every. It's as if the others don't exist. Bottom line: in the system, many things are not connected with each other, and some functions are duplicated.

No, this is really top the best smartphones of 2014, and Nokia Lumia 930 rightfully takes fifth place in it. Because you quickly and easily get used to all the illogicality of WP (then, by the way, you get used to it just as quickly), something turns in your head - and you find yourself on the same wavelength. And the best material embodiment of this system today is the Lumia 930. It combines everything perfectly: good, modern hardware, an excellent camera - one of the best smartphones in the world, a bright thin body and a set of proprietary software.

4. Sony Xperia Z3 Compact

Sony Xperia Z3 Compact

Sony may not have been the first to notice that modern flagship smartphones were too swollen, but it was the first to take the necessary measures and make a top-end device with a small screen (the target audience would say “ normal screen"). The idea took off, and in the fall the second generation of “Compacts” appeared - Xperia Z3 Compact. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with a frequency of 2.5 GHz, has 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of flash memory, and is familiar with latest versions communication standards (Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC), waterproof, but - and this is the beauty - fits in your hand. In addition, the Z3 Compact has a damn attractive design and several bright color options (orange is my choice).

3. iPhone 6

Only third place. Although the iPhone has changed the number in its name, the changes amount to only slight “tuning”, which is urgently needed in order to belatedly fit the device into the trend of gigantism. The screen has become larger, but Apple, as always, managed to correctly apply the magic (in the world of materialists called design skills) and make sure that the smartphone fits in the hand no worse than the previous model. Added to this is a higher screen resolution, a more powerful processor, rounded body shapes and Apple support Pay. The revolution took place eight years ago, and since then every new iPhone becomes one of the best smartphones in the world.

2.YotaPhone 2

For some reason, everyone prefers to discuss not YotaPhone 2 itself, but how Russian it is. This, of course, is facilitated by the Yota Devices PR service that has gone off the rails, with the tenacity of Jehovah's Witnesses inclining everyone to talk about the God of the Russian roots of the development.

But I like the smartphone itself, no matter who made it. Let's be honest, this is the first YotaPhone, and what they showed us and even tried to sell for real money a year ago was an engineering sample, a prototype. Now the product has been finalized and has entered the release stage. Its creators solved one very difficult problem: to figure out why the hell a smartphone needs a second screen. Without relying on the third-party developer community, Yota Devices has created a bunch of functions that don't look far-fetched and give the second screen at least some value. You can read from it. It can display photographs or snapshots of the main screen, and the image will be saved even after the device is turned off. You can temporarily make it your main screen. It can be used in Yota Energy economical mode (turns a smartphone into a simple phone) when the battery charge is close to zero. Ultimately, you can display widgets on it.

In the past year we have seen many interesting mobile news, so it was very difficult for us to select the 10 best of them. The site's rating includes smartphones that have something to surprise customers and that can be an excellent gift for the New Year.

Apple iPhone 6

This year, Apple surprised us with two smartphones at once - iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus (). However, the company from Cupertino does not separate the two modifications of the device; even in the company’s online store they are on the same tab.

Apple iPhone 6 (both modifications) deserved to be included in the rating due to their extremely high popularity among buyers. In the first 3 days, more than 10 million of these gadgets were sold worldwide.

Despite the revealed defects of smartphones (who hasn’t read about and?), they can boast of popular love - for their high-quality assembly, high speed work and a well-functioning iOS ecosystem. By the way, “Apple iPhone 6 became the most interesting gadget for Belarusians in 2014.

Tim Cook made the right decision by abandoning the strategy of releasing small devices. So it's no surprise that the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus is in high demand, especially in Asia (see graph below). Analysts even claim that the iPhone 6 Plus could have a significant impact on sales of small tablets iPad mini.

Samsung GALAXY Note 4

Many experts call it exactly, and not the best Samsung smartphone in the past year.. Probably, if Samsung had released this gadget without a stylus and corresponding functionality, thereby making it cheaper, GALAXY Note 4 would be even more popular.

Here is the most powerful this moment filling: bright and ultra-clear Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, protected, Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor (or no less powerful eight-core Exynos 7 Octa), optimized and user-friendly interface, as well as an excellent camera and high battery life.

It should also be added that GALAXY Note 4 is the first Samsung flagship, which received a metal body, which makes it attractive not only in terms of characteristics, but also in terms of design.

Top LG smartphones have always had an excellent price/performance combination. Here you can remember not only the Nexus 4 and 5 smartphones, but also last year’s LG G2. Although the LG G3 cost a lot at launch, it dropped significantly in price over the next few months.

It is significant that in Russia the LG G3 became practically the only flagship of the A-brands that did not increase in price after the collapse of the ruble exchange rate - now its recommended retail price is at the level of 24,990 Russian rubles (approximately $490 at the current exchange rate). An advantage of the LG G3 is the presence of a dual-SIM version (officially sold in Belarus).

In addition to excellent characteristics (5.5-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801) and nice design (minimal frames around the display, ergonomic shape, convenient, according to many experts, buttons on the back cover), the LG G3 stands out for its camera .

Despite the fact that it does not have a record-breakingly large (by current standards) 13-megapixel photo module, Western and Russian observers often call the LG G3 camera the best among current smartphones. Among other things, an innovative laser focusing system helps you obtain high-quality images.

Read more about it in the review of the site.

HTC One (M8)

Continuation of last year flagship smartphone HTC, unfortunately, received almost the same lackluster ultrapixel camera. The dual photo module allows you to take photographs with the ability to post-focus, but at the same time it loses to the cameras of other flagship gadgets.

Otherwise, the smartphone is excellent - the HTC One (M8) has an all-metal body, powerful hardware (5-inch Full HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor) and an optimized interface. The device turned out to be so successful in terms of design and shell that a number of reviewers even called it an iPhone on Android. Well-deserved fourth place.

Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro

Lenovo's flagship tablet with a metal body, an excellent camera and powerful hardware (Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 with a frequency of 2.5 GHz, 3 GB of RAM) logically took 5th place in our rating.

Despite the 6-inch display, which for some will be beyond the comfort zone, the device is very convenient to use due to its ergonomic shape. And the resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels makes it difficult to distinguish individual pixels on the screen.

Huawei Ascend Mate 7

Another metal tablet from another Chinese manufacturer, which deservedly took its place in our top ten.

There is a 6-inch IPS Full HD display, the latest eight-core HiSilicon Kirin 925 processor with a maximum clock frequency of 1.8 GHz, up to 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory. Permission front camera- 5 MP, main - 13 MP. It is important that the device has a capacious 4100 mAh battery.

Samsung GALAXY Alpha

The smartphone is the pioneer of a new line of Samsung devices - stylish, quite powerful devices in a compact metal case.

Experts named Samsung GALAXY Alpha is a warning blow to Apple: like the iPhone 6, the smartphone has a thin metal body (even if the cover is plastic) and a 4.7-inch display. And it appeared on the market shortly before the release of Apple’s new flagship.

Read all the details in the review on the site.

Nokia Lumia 930

(now the devices of the legendary company will be produced under the Microsoft brand) made it into our rating due to its powerful hardware, attractive design and not the highest price - which, however, is not surprising for Windows Phone devices.

The smartphone is based on a 4-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with a frequency of each core of 2.2 GHz, has 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of non-volatile memory without the ability to connect a microSD card. Battery capacity 2420 mAh.
