Are you the happy owner of a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) SM-P6000 / SM-P605 tablet and you are not satisfied with its operating system? Do you want to flash your Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) to new version Android OS? You have come to the right place, because this article will discuss exactly how to flash a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) SM-P6000 / SM-P605 tablet.

Firmware for Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) SM-P605 tablet using the Odin program

The first thing you need to do to flash the tablet is to download the firmware you like for Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) SM-P605, you can download it from here -, the second thing is to download and install the firmware firmware Samsung Odin v3.09

So, the firmware has been downloaded. The firmware is located in a folder whose path does not contain Cyrillic characters. To check – MD5 for the latest SER firmware:. Another important point: in those archives that I personally downloaded from Samsung servers, the firmware file at the end had the extension .m5 - we delete it because only .tar should remain (P605XXUBMJ9_P605SERBMJ3_P605XXUBMJ4_HOME.tar)

For firmware, it is best to use a laptop or computer connected via an uninterruptible power supply, because in this case, you are insured against power outages. It is strongly recommended to turn off all antiviruses and firewalls during the firmware installation and remove all mobile modems and third-party devices from USB ports, temporarily disable all connections to networks.

We also clearly understand two facts: the firmware of the new official version(if it is completed successfully, of course) Not voids our warranty root installation in any of the ways available to us - deprives guarantees. Let me explain. We do not have a PCT device, so the consent or refusal of warranty service (due to a change in the parameter indicating administrative intervention in the device) of the charade that sold you the “gray” device is only its will.

1. Install the ADB driver (“Samsung_USB_Driver_1.5.29.0.exe”). It is implied that you do not have the “Kies” program!!! If it does, remove it and reboot, or you can simply call up the task manager and stop all processes associated with Kies (that is, everything with “Kies” in the name).
2. Turn off the tablet.
3. Press and hold the “Volume -” button on the tablet (the closest part of the volume rocker to the “Power” button) and immediately press and hold the “Power” button. We wait until the tablet starts to turn on. After a text request appears in English, press the “Volume +” button on the tablet (respectively, the far part of the volume “rocker” from the “Power” button). Now the tablet is ready to accept firmware via ADB (from the Odin program).
4. Connect the tablet to the computer via the native one (included with the tablet) USB cable. We are waiting for Windows to recognize the device and install additional drivers that are needed specifically for your device.
5. Run the Odin program as administrator. Press the PA or PDA button in the program - in different versions program it is named differently and select the file with the firmware.
6. Make sure that Odin “sees” the tablet: the port number will appear in the ID:COM cell and its color will change. We also make sure that only the “Auto Reboot” and “F. Reset Time” (this is how it should be by default).

7. Click the “Start” button in the Odin program and wait for the process to complete. Confirmation that the process has completed will be a large blue square in the Odin program with the inscription “RESET”, and in the “Message” window the last entry will be “ Removed!!” (where X is one digit). Disconnect the tablet from the computer.
8. The tablet reboots. As soon as it boots, we don’t make any settings, but turn it off again. Now press and hold the “Volume +” button on the tablet (the farthest part of the volume rocker from the “Power” button) and immediately press and hold the “Power” button. We wait until the tablet starts to turn on. We ended up in Recovery (stock, i.e. native). We make wipe cache in it and factory reset. You can do it twice, just to be sure!))) Reboot.
9. We rejoice in the new firmware

Instructions for installing custom firmware via TWRP recovery on Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) SM-P6000 / SM-P605

1. To install custom firmware, we need to install custom recovery on the existing stock firmware (for our model TWRP 2.6.3.0) and root the tablet (get root rights for Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014)
2. Turn on the mode on the tablet USB Debugging in Developer Options (Settings - General (if this item is not in General, tap on About device and tap on Build number seven times - the Developer Options item will appear, you need to go into it and check the box for USB Debugging)

3. How to install custom recovery and get Root?

Launch the Odin program on the PC, and according to the instructions above in the “PA” (PDA) line, insert the archive (TWRP recovery 2.7.0.0) and click Start

Custom TWRP recovery is installed and root is received.
4. Download from Play Market and install the Titanium Backup Root program.
We update ours through the Play Market installed programs so that during backup (see below) the most recent copies of your software are saved.
Open the program (confirm for SuperSU is right for this program)
click on Backups at the top, click on the check mark in the white box at the top right and in the section Backup select the subsection Make r.k. total user P.O. (activate on the left with the Start button), confirm with a green checkmark at the top right. So we did backups your software.
5. Download and place the firmware in zip format that we want to install on the external memory card of the tablet.
6. Turn off the tablet and go into custom recovery - with the tablet completely turned off (wait until even the backlight of the black screen goes out), press “Volume Plus” (farthest from the “Power” button) and immediately press the “Power” button, hold for about 5 seconds, then .e. until the inscription “Samsung Galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition” appears and release.
7. First, we make a backup of the firmware that is currently installed on our device:
Backup – Select Partions to Back Up: select all items: Boot, Cache, Data, Recovery, System,
Please note that we save the backup on an SD memory card
Storage: external_sd, confirm the creation of a backup below: Swype to Back Up (swipe to the right along the arrow). So we saved the user data with Titanium and made a backup of the entire firmware using custom recovery.
8. Return to the main recovery menu and do wipes (clearing the internal memory of the device for new firmware)
Wipe – Advanced Wipe – Select Partions to Wipe: check everything except the last item external_sd, i.e. check the boxes for Dalvik Cache, Cache, Data, Internal Storage, System - such a complete wipe is especially recommended when switching from non-Russian firmware to SER firmware. Important note: after the wipe, all data from internal memory phone, including custom settings will be lost
9. Return to the main recovery menu and click the Install button (we go directly to the process of installing the new firmware).
We are looking for the pre-installed firmware in zip format on the external memory card (external_sd). (for example, this SER-P605XXUBMJ9 VER 3.0 (DEODEX))
SELECT ZIP TO INSTALL
Storage: external_sd()
Find the firmware file in zip format, click on it and confirm the firmware
swipe below Swipe to Confirm Flash.

The process of installing new firmware will begin. After its completion, the device must be rebooted.
10. After rebooting the device, you will need to perform the initial setup (set the date, time zone, keyboard languages, WiFi settings etc.)

Important notes: photos, videos, music and other important data must be moved to an external memory card before flashing the firmware (it is advisable to save all this on the BB), contacts from phone book also need to be exported to an external memory card, it is highly desirable to have Google account and before flashing, synchronize Contacts with Google (more relevant, of course, for a smartphone, not for a tablet). It is highly desirable to have during the flashing process, and especially after WiFi connection with the Internet.

After initial setup we make sure that there is a root on the tablet (i.e. that it is not lost after flashing), go to the Play Market and reinstall Titanium Backup Root (if when you first start Titanium it complains about the Android Identifier, click Restore And Identif at the bottom, also check for at this point, whether USB Debugging is enabled).
Using Titanium we restore our custom software with data that we previously saved - if it is needed and does not duplicate the software from the new firmware.
Regarding restoring your software from Titanium: when restoring your applications, it is safer to download them from the Play Market, i.e. There are times when the firmware installed normally, but when restoring your software from Titanium, some applications are not restored correctly.
If something goes wrong, you can always restore the previous firmware from a custom TWRP recovery using the Restore option.

A hard reset did not help (resetting to factory settings), this was the first time I encountered such a problem, so the first solution was to seek help from experts. I took it to one miracle workshop, where it lay for almost half a year.. They couldn’t find the firmware in any way.. My patience came to an end, I took it away. On the way home I picked up a few more pros. They promised to do it within a day. To come pick it up in the evening - it turns out they didn’t ask for it. The answer is the same - they can’t find the firmware. They returned it in the same condition that I gave it to them.

Well, it wasn’t, I thought and decided to make my contribution to the repair of this unit, it can’t get any worse. After rummaging through the forums at home, reading how and what they use to sew such devices, I realized that the most important thing is to guess the firmware version. There were a lot of firmware options online for similar Samsung Galaxy Nout counterfeits. So I started downloading and trying them.

The most popular firmware for this device on the network turned out to be this: MaPan_MX913_DC_Jelly_Bean_4.1os_Root_Firmware_D20130601_UP And MaPan_MX913_DC_Jelly_Bean_4.2_Os_Root_Firmware_J20131101, but they completely lacked touchscreen support. That is, everything is beautiful, although Chinese, but you can’t move your finger across the screen, you can only control the tablet from the keyboard, which turned out to be very inconvenient. I started looking for other options. On the site w3bsit3-dns.com and other similar sites, I found a lot of useful information. And having tried 100500 firmware, I never found one that would work with the tablet normally. Some worked with the touchscreen, but it had a dead zone about a centimeter from below, others had the calibration of pressing the screen knocked down, that is, you had to point your finger a centimeter below, others did not have a motion sensor or accelerator, some were in Mexican or completely in Arabic languages and so on. In general, I was tired of looking for a pig in a poke and I remembered that when I disassembled this tablet, I took several pictures of its insides and decided to look at the markings on them. The fact that there was a miracle processor there

All Winner A13 I remembered, and it didn’t give me anything, but what other inscriptions were there... After looking through the photos, I found this treasured inscription on one of the boards of the nameless tablet: “For-Fun Q3 Main v1.4”.

Well, now at least there was some other clue. Having gone to the software repository on mail ru through the same wonderful site 4PDA, I found several firmware for "For-Fun Q3 Main v1.4". Well, there was little left to do. Having downloaded the one that weighed more, 624 meters, I uploaded it to my tablet, waited impatiently for it to reboot, and was upset, the tablet froze on the same inscription “android”, on the second try I was lucky, downloading this “ZET6223WTAROM” weighing in 446 megabytes, firmware, I got 100% results! The tablet started working. Everything, absolutely everything worked as it should. Loading speed, screen, touchscreen and Wi-Fi - everything worked perfectly. I didn’t even imagine how it would be possible to upload a lot of cool applications to this China! The firmware turned out to be compiled on Android 4.0.4, which also pleased me, that is, it was more recent.

Well, now, in order, how and with what I did it all.

What we need: a computer with the Windows XP or Windows 7 32-bit operating system, the Phoenix suit program, a cord for connecting the tablet, firmware and the tablet itself.

First, you need to make preliminary preparations - setting up the tablet driver, both turned on and in firmware mode.
To do this we do the following:

1) install the Phoenix suit program on your computer (download)

2) We connect the switched on tablet, we hear the sound of the connected device, we see the ANDROID device in the equipment

click on it right click We Shki, select - Update driver

The following window will appear with the driver that needs to be installed, ignoring the warning that it does not have a digital signature, click "NEXT"

the equipment will be installed and a message will appear indicating that everything is ready.

All the same actions need to be performed with the tablet in UPDATE mode (this is when it is turned off, press the "Volume +" button, hold it and connect it via a cord to the PC, the red indicator on the tablet lights up, but the screen does not light up. The device will definitely be like an unknown one , perform all the same actions described above). Otherwise, Phoenix Suit will not see the tablet and will not be able to flash it.

We launch it, and do not forget to make sure that no errors occurred during the installation process, the goodle driver was installed

2) download this firmware (download) or another.
