Doom black screen on startup. Doom won't launch, won't work, won't install. Minimum System Requirements

The sequel to Doom, released in 2016, caused the expected sensation. However, as is customary among developers lately, the game was released in a “raw” form, and modifications took place “on the knee”. Because of this, there are a huge number of errors in it, due to which Doom 4 does not start or works only intermittently.

Pirate

To begin with, let’s divide the errors that arise according to some criterion. And let's start with those people who prefer to download pirated versions of games from the Internet rather than buy them in the store. Since the original application is hacked to create a pirated version, some files may be damaged during this process. What to do if your pirated Doom 4 won't start?

  1. Check that the installation is correct. The unlicensed version may be missing certain system files that are installed with the application. In this case, you need to download and install them on the system separately.
  2. When purchasing a game through Steam, some of the necessary software is installed the first time you turn it on; if Doom 4 does not start, try checking the installed drivers. MS Framework and MS Visual C++ latest versions must be in the system.
  3. Sometimes Doom 4 won't start due to problems with graphics and video card. In such cases, you need to update your video card drivers or download related software. For example, GeForce Experience.
  4. An antivirus can also block a game from accessing the Internet or from launching it. Try adding Doom 4 to exceptions or disabling your antivirus completely.

License

Games purchased on official trading platforms are a completely different story. If you purchased a game disc, you may experience problems due to outdated version. When Doom 4 won't start, you should check your internet connection. Perhaps the game is trying to update itself before appearing before its “master”.

If Doom 4 does not launch on Steam, this could be due to a variety of reasons, including those already mentioned. For example, there should be no Russian letters in the path to the game. Since applications downloaded through Steam are in most cases installed in its folder, you also need to check the location of the client.

Also be sure to check the free space on your hard drive. You may have problems if it was not enough when downloading and automatic installation via Steam. You may need to completely reinstall the Steam client and the game, since the memory cells hard drive may be damaged.

System

What else should you check if Doom 4 won't start? Sorry something wrong is an error that often appears to players. This means that, most likely, you are using a pirated version of the game, since you can only run 5 copies per day on different computers from one license key. You can't do anything about it unless you find another repack. If a similar problem occurs with the license, it means that you are using a non-standard modification.

In addition, if Doom 4 does not start, you should definitely check the system requirements. Modern games consume a lot of computer resources, so if they do not comply, they may not work even on relatively new machines. In such a situation, you can try using third-party software that speeds up your computer's performance.

All problems are fixed with a new patch for Doom 4.

1. Doom 4 doesn't work(not working) how to fix
Doom 4 doesn't work on weak computers or a computer without a patch.
To fix it you need to download and install Doom 4 Patch 1.02.
During installation, close the game and other Doom-related applications.
We install in the folder with installed game Doom.
Reboot the PC. Let's launch Doom. The first launch may take longer than subsequent ones. This is due to texture optimization.
This patch also significantly increases FPS in both single-player and multiplayer games.

2. Doom 4 won't start(not starting, not launching) how to fix
To fix it you need to do everything that is written in point 1! Doom 4 may not launch due to not meeting the minimum system requirements. It is also recommended to check for updated driver versions.

3. Doom 4 black screen(black screen) how to fix
The black screen can be fixed in the same way by installing a patch. If the patch does not help, then it is recommended to update the graphics card drivers. The black screen issue was resolved with the first update of the game.

This patch also fixes the following bugs:

On startup Doom 4 error 0xc000007b
On startup Doom 4 error 0xc0000005
On startup Doom 4 error APPCRASH
On startup Doom 4 application error
On startup Doom 4 error black screen
Doom 4 missing msvcp120.dll msvcr120.dll error
Doom 4 Failed to initialize DirectX 10 11 error
Doom 4 DLL not found, NVIDIA AMD Driver not responding

After a lean few years, fans of classic shooters are finally starting to get pampered by game developers all over again. Covering systems, scripts and self-healing for health, although they should still be very good, but somewhere in the middle it gets easier for titles that are the basis of desperately searching for kits and John Rambo-style open combat after a very, very bad day. Also coming with great strides Rock (on a several-year-long fashion - lost somewhere along the path of bad quality in the title) put on the decisions that its namesake more than twenty years ago helped create the basis for most FPS. The climate of terror, characterized by issued more than ten years ago, "three", will be significantly punished, will take its place and the brutal and dynamic slaughter legions of hell.

Minimum Requirements
OS: Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 (x64)
CPU: Intel Core i5 2400 and better | AMD FX-8320 and better
8 GB RAM
55 GB hard disk space
Video card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 or better | AMD Radeon HD 7870 with 2 GB memory
DirectX version: 11
Also: Keyboard, mouse

#1 Image cutting in Doom

A rare problem that can be solved by activating V-sync and Triple buffering. Attention, this setting quite demanding on hardware.

#2 Doom crashes

Make sure you have the latest graphics drivers. Nvidia already has its own, specifically for Doom. Also install latest version DirectX 12 and check that other programs do not conflict with the shooter. Try restarting your PC and re-logging into Steam.

#3 DLL error when installing/starting Doom

Download and install Dll program fixer

Scan with error detection software
Open the Install DLL files section
Enter the name of the DLL file that is causing the error
The program will automatically install the file

#4 Doom download stuck at 99%

Make sure your antivirus is not interfering with the game download. Check your network connection and traffic speed. Often the last percentage takes the longest to install.
Restart Steam if the problem is not resolved

#5 Doom slows down

Make sure that your hardware is powerful enough and that your video card does not overheat. Activate V-sync in the settings and check if Doom is working.
Try running the game in windowed mode.

#6 Doom won't start

Check if your VPN is working. Turn it off.
Update graphics driver- in some cases, on the contrary, it is worth trying to roll back it to the previous version.

Remember that in most cases the startup problem can occur due to incorrect installation games. Make sure that during installation the antivirus did not delete anything, the game path does not contain Cyrillic, and there is enough space on your hard drive. Run Doom as an administrator in Windows 7 compatibility mode.

First of all, we recommend that you check for the presence of Russian letters on the path to the game files - they should not be there, this applies to both the installation directory and user data. This the main problem, due to which Doom does not start.

Also try running the game in compatibility mode for Windows 7 (main platform), or as an administrator. Check if the antivirus has added the executable “.exe” file of the game to quarantine - Kaspersky and 360 Total Security are guilty of this, even if the version is licensed.

Make sure your Windows version is 64-bit, please check the game files for completeness.

1. Make sure that there is enough memory for the game; to do this, close all additional software.
2.Check the integrity of the game files.
3.Update your video drivers.
4.Install Latest updates on the OS, and also use a clean, original build of the system.
5. The game may not respond to launch if at least one part of your PC (memory, video card, processor) is not suitable for minimum requirement, make sure this does not apply to you.
6.Update DirectX, MS Visual C++ Redistributable

#7 Black screen in Doom

Black screen in most cases occurs due to problems with GPU. Update your video card driver and make sure it fully matches the one listed in the system requirements above. In addition, in some cases, a black screen occurs due to a weak processor. During a black screen, try switching to windowed mode, and then vice versa, using the Alt+Enter key combination.

#8 Doom crashes to desktop

If you experience constant crashes in the game, try lowering your graphics settings. This can be especially helpful if flights occur in a specific location. In this case, you can temporarily reduce the graphics settings. Don’t forget about patches, developers fix most technical problems in updates - set automatic updates in the game settings.

#9 Doom is slow. Low FPS. Lags. Friezes. Freezes

First, make sure your graphics card driver is up to date. Typically, a new driver can add about 30% to performance, so don't forget about it. Also, in the task manager, look at the computer resources - perhaps some process is taking too many resources. In this case, disable it, and then launch the game again. It would be a good idea to try lowering your graphics settings. Do not set the lowest ones first, try reducing the effects one by one, paying attention to the increase in FPS.

If it doesn't help:
1.Reduce settings.
2.Turn off V-sync.
run the game and if it doesn't help
Activate settings such as triple buffering and Vertical sync in the video card control panel.

#10 An error pops up in Doom

In 90% of cases, errors occur due to a missing Dll file. Look carefully at what is indicated in the error value. If it's a file ending in Dll, download Dll-Fixer (or a similar program) to your computer, install it, and then run it. Use it to download the missing Dll file.

#11 There is no Russian language in Doom

This problem most likely lies in the game settings. Try changing the language in them. You can also go to Steam and in the Doom properties / in the “Language” section, change the localization to Russian. Remember that there is no need to download any third-party crackers - Doom is completely localized into Russian (text and voice acting).

#12 Controls don't work in Doom

The control may not work due to two input devices connected to the computer at the same time - the keyboard and the controller. Disable one of them and try playing. In addition, if your specific gamepad does not work, remember that the game officially only supports controllers that have a key layout similar to that of the Xbox 360/Xbox One joystick.

#13 Sound does not work in Doom

First, make sure your audio device is fully functional. Then check if the sound is enabled in the game settings. If everything is ok with this, try updating the driver sound card, if it is external. If you have a built-in sound card in motherboard, it is not necessary to do this - just update the video card drivers.

#14 Software update

To always be aware of all updates, we advise you to download the program

To optimize your computer for the needs of a particular game, we advise you to use the program.

Also don't forget about additional software such as .

#15 DOOM Error msvcp120.dll

If your game complains about the absence of msvcp120.dll after installation, then you must manually install the specified .dll file. To do this, you will have to install software that will help you install missing .dll files. The program can help you. After installing the application, launch it and click on “Install” DLL files" In the search field, type “msvcp120.dll” into the window and press the enter button, and then install the specified .dll files into the root directory of your game.

#16 If your game crashes with Vulcan and you cannot change the API to OGL

1. C:\Users\<ПРОФИЛЬ>\Saved Games\id Software\DOOM\base\
2. Open DOOMConfig.local using Notepad
3. Change r_renderAPI "1" to r_renderAPI "0"

#17 How to activate “nightmare” graphics on 4 GB cards

In the steam library, right click on the game, then Properties, then set the launch parameters, enter in the line: +menu_advanced_AllowAllSettings 1
On my gtx 970 the flight is normal, the memory load jumped from 3 to 3.8 GB

#18 Pictures are broken in the game

It is rare, but turning on V-Sync and Triple Buffering in the game settings helps. But for this you must have a fairly powerful PC, since these settings are demanding on hardware.

#19 Playback of dialogues and other sounds has been accelerated in DOOM

Rarely seen. And it's not the game that's to blame, but the sound card settings. Change the sound settings to the following: 24 bit, 48,000 Hz. That's it - problem solved;)

#20 Skip intro

If you are tired of watching the splash screen every time before starting the game, then you can easily disable it using simple manipulations with the game .exe file, which is located in the root folder. Click right click according to the executable that launches the game, go to “Properties” and just write
“+ com_skipIntroVideo 1” without quotes and click “Apply”. That's it, the initial screen saver will no longer appear.

#21 Disabling mouse acceleration

If you want to disable mouse acceleration you should edit system file manually. You should also make a copy of this file before you change anything in it.
You can find the configuration file at the following location:
C:\Users\your_username\Saved Games\id Software\DOOM\base
the file is called DOOMConfig.cfg. Open it with notepad, find the line with m_smooth and change the value from 1 to 0.

#22 Doom doesn't see my console controller

We are in a hurry to disappoint those who like to play excellent PC shooters using a console controller - not every controller will be defined by the game. DualShock 3 and DualShock 4 controllers will definitely not work; you need a controller from the Xbox 360, or better yet, from the Xbox One. There definitely shouldn't be any problems with the latter.

But if they happen, try the next method. Quit the game, turn off the controller, reboot the system, turn the controller back on and now enter the game. If it doesn’t help and you have an Xbox 360 controller, then you need to see if the corresponding emulator works correctly.

Like most new games, the new game in the Doom series also contains many errors and bugs that make it difficult to enjoy the game. And if you can still put up with some problems, then there are those that completely discourage you from playing Doom 4. That is why we have collected on this page all the currently known bugs of the game Doom 2016. Read and we hope this article has a solution to your problem.

Let's start, perhaps, with Doom 4 system requirements because If your computer does not meet the requirements of the game, then maybe there is no point in dealing with errors? Doom 2016 System Requirements the following.
Minimum:
Processor: Intel Core i5-2400 / AMD FX-8320 or better
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 (2GB) / AMD Radeon HD 7870 (2GB)
DirectX: Version 11
Internet connection
Disk space: 22 GB
Recommended:
System: Windows 7,8.1,10 (64 bits only)
Processor: Intel Core i7-3770 / AMD FX-8350 or better
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 (4GB) / AMD Radeon R9 290 (4GB)
DirectX: Version 11
Internet connection
Disk space: 22 GB

We're done with the requirements, and now let's move directly to the problems of the game. Doom - disk write error
In general, nothing complicated. This error is associated with:
1.Not enough disk memory
2. Damage to the hard (magnetic) disk
3.The game files are damaged, try downloading them again.
If all else fails, try installing the game in a different folder, while excluding Russian characters in the path to this folder.

Doom 2016 red screen
The error is unusual because is not directly related to the game, but to the software that can be installed on your computer. The software prevents the game from loading, causing it to freeze on a red screen. Before starting the game, disable absolutely all software that you definitely do not need during the game, and also turn off the antivirus.

Doom 4 stuck on level two, door closed
This is also a bug associated with an incorrect sequence of actions, as a result of which the door closing script was launched. To prevent this from happening again, load your last save and use the elevator instead of the door.

Doom in the game is too dark, not enough brightness
This is not an error, but simply an incorrect gamma setting. Go to the game settings and set the gamma to a value that you feel comfortable playing with.

When Doom 2016 starts, there is a small window in the upper left corner. I can't run it in full screen.
Option 1: Right-click on the game exe file and select properties - compatibility. Check or uncheck the Disable scaling checkbox. Click apply and try to launch the game.
Option 2: Launch the game and set the resolution to the lowest resolution in the settings. After that, try setting the native resolution again.
Option 3:
There is another solution, but more complicated:
1.Turn off a setting such as scaling in the video card control panel.
2.Launch the game and set the resolution to the highest resolution you can.
3.Set your desktop resolution to the value you want in the game.
4.Restart your PC
5.Start the game.
6.You won't see full menu games will have to be played by touch. Select single player.
7.Select a game.
8.Open settings. Select a video.
9.Go down 4 points, press select, go up 3 points and press select. (if that doesn’t work, you may have to do steps 6-9 on the controller)
10.Save your settings and play.
This is the solution.

Doom crashes 98%. Doom 2016 crashes after the ID software video
Try checking the integrity of the game files and the error should go away.
Also, try simply disabling Steam Overlay for the game.

Doom low performance, how to increase FPS
If you are sure that your PC can run the game without lags, then try updating your video card drivers first.
If it doesn't help:
1.Reduce settings.
2.Turn off V-sync.
run the game and if it doesn't help
Activate settings such as triple buffering and Vertical sync in the video card control panel.

Doom 4 problems with the mouse, how to turn off mouse acceleration, the mouse is too fast
Everything can be solved very easily and simply, just start the game with the parameter +set m_smooth 0

Doom how to skip introductory videos when starting the game
It can also be solved by simply adding +com_skipIntroVideo 1 to the game launch parameters.

Doom won't start
It is quite possible that this error calls software used to access the network via VPN. If this is typical for you, disable the VPN. Otherwise try:
1. Make sure that there is enough memory for the game; to do this, close all additional software.
2.Check the integrity of the game files.
3.Update your video drivers.
4.Install the latest updates to the OS, and use a clean, original build of the system.
5. The game may not respond to startup if at least one part of your PC (memory, video card, processor) does not meet the minimum requirements, make sure that this does not apply to you.
6.Update DirectX, MS Visual C++ Redistributable

Perhaps the most frequently asked question in the near future. What kind of defense is used in the game Doom?
In general, let’s not bore you, the game, like many recent major releases, uses the currently popular Denuvo, which means that you don’t have to look for pirates, cracks, and other things for this game yet. Perhaps the situation will change in the future, but for now this is the reality.

Doom 4 black screen
We may have already bored you with this answer, but the point is that the black screen can really be removed by installing the latest drivers on the video card (even if it is beta)

Doom connection error. The server is not reachable / Server is unavailable
1.Disable Firewall, antivirus.
2.Disable VPN
3.Open the ports on the router.
Most likely, something is blocking the game's access to the Internet. Try also running the game as an administrator.
You can try to temporarily, completely remove the antivirus to see if the problem is resolved. Many antiviruses contain a whole package of anti-virus and unwanted software tools, and it is likely that one of these packages will cause such errors with the system.

That's the whole article for now. If you have questions, ask. Also, as new problems arise, we will update the FAQ. Good luck!

Today (05/13/2016) the long-awaited game DOOM was released. Thanks to the alpha testing and beta testing phase, the game turned out to be more or less stable. However, if on consoles problems arise extremely rarely and are resolved instantly, then with the PC version of games it is difficult. Configurations on a PC are so diverse that it is simply impossible to avoid problems with a couple. And these same technical problems can be very different: the game can slow down; a black screen may appear; may not show or may not have available servers; no Russian language; Dialogues and sound are accelerated, or game mechanisms do not work at all, or some of them do not open.

This article is designed to solve the most common errors, including crashes and glitches. However, before we move on to solving technical problems, it is imperative to check system requirements. You need to make sure once again whether your hardware meets the recommended system requirements, or at least the minimum system requirements. If everything is in order in this regard, then you can safely switch to the problems described below for solving them.

And don’t forget that if you haven’t found a solution to the problem, our team is always ready to answer any questions in the VK group!

Minimum system requirements:

Intel Core i5-2400 @ 3.10 GHz, or AMD FX-8320 @ 3.5 GHz;

8 GB;

Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 2 GB, or AMD Radeon HD7870 2 GB.

Windows 7 SP1 / Windows 8.1 / Windows 10 (and only 64-bit RAM);

Intel Core i7-3770 @ 3.9 GHz, or AMD FX 8350 @ 4.0 GHz;

Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 3.5+0.5 GB, or AMD Radeon R9 290 4 GB.

55 GB.

Required files | Required drivers | Required programs to run

First of all, you shouldn’t rush to deal with problems, because there is a chance that you just need to update your video card driver, or download some program that is necessary to run the game.

The easiest way to check for the necessary software and updates is to download a program called "Driver Scanner". How is this program useful? Using this program, you can scan the system, which will allow you to find out what exactly is missing on your computer. The instructions for use are simple: download “Driver Scanner” and run it; run a system scan (it takes about five minutes) and after checking, update your outdated drivers.

There is a possibility that the problem is not even in the drivers, but in some auxiliary software. Moreover, you should not close your eyes to this, because the problem may be, for example, that you do not have “DirectX”, or that it is present old version. Below is a list of programs that are required to run the game, so take a look at them carefully and compare them with what you have on your computer. If you don’t have something from the list described below, then download:

DOOM crashes | Kicks out of the game | Crashes to desktop

The range of probable causes in this case is large. The first and most common problem with crashes is that your hardware does not have enough RAM. If your computer has less than 8 GB of RAM, then the game simply will not work. In order to solve this problem, you need to purchase additional memory.

The second reason is practically the same. The bottom line is that crashes can also occur for the reason that the video card is simply overloaded. If your RAM meets the system requirements, then this is probably the reason. What to do? To solve the problem of crashes in this case, you need to close all unnecessary programs and close browsers. For example, close Skype and Google Chrome.

However, if crashes occur already in the game, for example, when you are about to start a fierce batch, or loading a new location, then we recommend running the game as an administrator with all rights, regardless of what kind of video card you have.

If you have 2 video cards installed, then immediately disable the secondary video card. The problem is that although the new DOOM supports profiles such as "SLI" and "CrossFire", it still experiences performance issues on some systems. What to do? Either a “patch” from the developers, or useful updates from Nvidia and AMD (depending on what video card you use) will help.

And if you play DOOM on a laptop, then try switching from the integrated graphics card to a dedicated graphics card. First you need to find out what video card DOOM runs on. For what? The point is that, for some reason unknown to anyone, the game runs on an internal video card from AMD or Intel. Crashes, in turn, occur in this case for the reason that there are simply not enough resources to launch, which is why crashes to the desktop occur.

None of the above tips helped? Then it's time to check the integrity of the game on Steam + don't forget to check for updates. Because, for example, on the day of release (May 13), the first “patch” was immediately released, correcting some errors.

The game is slow and glitchy | Low frame rate | Low FPS | Poor performance

One of the most common problems. Moreover, this problem concerns not only owners of powerful hardware, but also owners of weaker ones. As stated at the beginning of the article, the variety of PC configurations creates problems that cannot be dealt with immediately. This is why low framerate issues in DOOM occur for a variety of reasons. So the game can run great for some, but slow down for others, and it doesn’t matter what kind of hardware you have.

The solution to the problem is directly related to what technical equipment you have, and what graphics settings you have set. So, for example, if the video card has 2 GB of video memory with a 128-bit bus, then the settings must be set to the minimum. If you have a 2 GB video card with a 256-bit bus, then the settings can be changed to medium. And it’s better not to try to set more, because in fact the new DOOM is very demanding and even two-year-old video cards are too weak for this game.

If you are the happy owner of a 3 GB video card with a wide bus, then you can safely install high quality. Owners of video cards with 4 GB or more can set the settings to maximum without unnecessary worry. However, even with such technical things, sometimes there are problems with particle effects and anti-aliasing, so some settings may not be too high.

A couple of glitches and slowdowns are observed immediately after several hours of stable and continuous play. However, immediately after restarting the game, everything becomes fine again. Problems like these occur due to memory leaks. This problem occurs particularly on Windows 10, so you will either have to change the operating system or wait for an update that will fix your computer.

Sometimes even this happens when changing settings does not help and the frame rate still remains unstable. In this case, you need to wait for the appropriate “patch” from the developers, or check for the availability of new drivers. It is also important to note that most people encounter this problem with an Nvidia video card, so perhaps the problem is with the video card, so again, wait for updates.

Now is the time to check how the game is detected in the driver settings. In general, it is better to check if the game is even there, so if it is not there, then in this case DOOM should be added there. Don’t forget to go to “Nvidia Game Experience” or “AMD Radeon Crimson” (it all depends on the video card) to enable and disable the following settings there: vertical sync and vertical sync pulse. If you have a video card from Nvidia, then it is better to check whether Physx has turned off at all.

The last tip is to run the game in windowed mode. To do this, press the key combination “Alt+Esc”. If the game starts in windowed mode, then after starting you can go back to full screen mode using the “Alt+Enter” keys. And don’t forget to look at whether the game is conflicting with some program that is hanging in the background. For example, such a program could be “Punto Switcher”.

Servers are not available | Can't play online | No one to play with

First, you should familiarize yourself with the start date of server launches. The date is written on Steam at official page games. In fact, in most countries the servers are already working at full capacity, so corresponding problems have begun to arise.

So if you are unable to connect to network modes due to a “no servers available” error, then just wait a couple of days. Developers must conduct engineering works, as a result of which the game will definitely work.

Another problem is that in the multiplayer part of DOOM there may simply be few people. After all, now, for the most part, the company is important to many, so again, you will have to wait a couple of days until the interest subsides and the company is passed along and across.

The game won't start | Crashes with a black screen | Black screen

Often, a similar problem occurs if there are letters of the Russian alphabet on the path to the game files. There should not be such letters along the installation path. Moreover, this applies not only to the place where the game is installed, but also user files. This is usually the main problem.

If the first tip did not help, then it’s time to run the game in compatibility mode for Windows 7, or as an administrator. And don’t forget to check your antivirus, in case it added the game launch file (“exe”) to quarantine. As a rule, antiviruses often “sin” with such actions. You can even turn off the antivirus completely for a comfortable game.

And keep in mind - if the bit depth operating system does not correspond to what was stated in the official system requirements - the game will again display a black screen upon startup. Finally, check the game for completeness of the files, in case the antivirus has already managed to “cure” something.

There is no Russian language in DOOM | How to set the Russian language?

Another popular problem. On this moment DOOM is experiencing serious problems with localization. The problem most often lies in the fact that the localization may be English, although the person is in Russia or Germany.

Solving the problem at the moment is simple. Just return to the “Steam” window, go to the game menu and switch to the item called “Properties”. So there is a “Language” tab, in which you can select the appropriate language.

However, if this does not help, then it’s time to go to the game menu settings. We recommend deleting all existing language files in the language folder and waiting for a new update from the developers, which will bring the game back to normal.

Dialogues play quickly | Sounds go too fast | Problem solving

The problem is actually rare, but it still occurs. Owners of either discrete or integrated sound cards mainly face this problem. The essence of the problem is that sounds, dialogues and other similar elements are reproduced extremely quickly. However, it is not the game that is to blame, but the sound card settings. It is enough to change only the sound and playback parameters to the following indicators - 24 bits, 48,000 Hz. As a result, the problem will be solved.

The key does not fit | I can’t activate the game on Steam | Solution

For players, this is the worst problem. If the game was purchased from an official digital store, then open a ticket with technical support, describe the reaction and wait for an answer. If a response is not provided within one week, then you can safely request a refund to Steam. Do not under any circumstances buy the game from someone else, because your chances of getting your money back will be significantly reduced.

Missing MSVCR110.dll, MSVC120.dll, MSVC140.dll

This is all one big problem that arose as a result of the “crooked” installation of the game. If such errors occur, then download “Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4" from the official Microsoft website and install it on the system. However, if this did not help and the game continues to produce similar errors, then switch to another version of the “API” and play with other settings: with minimum or maximum settings.

Saves don't work | Saves are glitchy | Saves won't launch

The first thing you need to know is that saving in the new DOOM occurs at checkpoints. In other words, progress is saved automatically and strictly in certain places. However, this does not protect the game from broken saves. But even if such problems arise, then you need to wait for the appropriate “patch” from the developers. Although you can also try to load a previous save to replay the unloaded gameplay.

Doors don't work | Mechanisms in the game do not work | Can't go any further

The problem occurs quite rarely and is mainly typical for a company (single game), because before this, multiplayer in DOOM was tested extremely carefully and for quite a long time. Alas, in the decision similar problem Only the official “patch” from the game developers will help, or you can try to pass the level. There is a chance that the error will go away on its own or, more simply put, it will “sag.”

There is also a possibility that you either completed the level unsuccessfully (missing important elements), or at some point you were inattentive and went in the wrong direction, where at this stage the doors are locked and you will not be able to progress further along the storyline. Look around carefully.

The game does not see the controller | Error with controller

If you're one of those gamers who prefers to play while sitting on the couch with a controller in hand, then the bad news for you is that not every controller is suitable for the game. In fact, DOOM turned out to be demanding of everything, so controllers such as DualShock 3 and DualShock 4 will refuse to work. It is best to use controllers from an old Xbox 360, or from an Xbox One. And by the way, there will be 100% no problems with the last option.

However, if problems occur with other controllers, then do the following: exit the game, unplug the controller, reboot the system, reconnect the controller and return back to the game. If the controller is fine, but a full reboot did not help, then check if the emulator you are using is working correctly.
