So, you are going abroad. To use communication services in another country, you must definitely check the availability of the “International Access and International and National Roaming” services, and if they are not available, you must use them, or you can use the service, which has some restrictions, but it is enough to stay in touch.

The International Access service is required to make outgoing calls outside the host country. For example, to call from Russia to Turkey or Egypt. Or, to call Russia while in Turkey
The “International and National Roaming” service requires that the SIM card be registered in the international operator’s network, that is, so that your SIM card can connect to the network abroad.
These services are required! Be careful to check the availability of services before leaving for another country.

Both services are free to connect and have no subscription fee. They need to be connected once and after that they will always be connected to your number.
Typically these services are not connected via automatic services. Not through, not through, not by calling

Through these services you can check the availability of services, and to connect you will need to contact the MTS office with a passport. There are exceptions - if you have been using this number for a long time and pay regularly, then I recommend that you try calling the MTS Call Center, perhaps these services can be connected to you over the phone.

As a result, your number should have the necessary services connected.

Stage 2 - cost of calls abroad.

To make the prices clear, let's look at an example. (data current as of 04/26/2011)

Are you traveling to Turkey

Basic call cost:

Subscription fee for services: 0 rub.
Outgoing calls to Russia to any number or All incoming calls - 59 RUR/min(billing per minute)
SMS - 19 RUR/pcs.
Incoming SMS - 0 rub.
GPRS - 30 rubles for 40 kb. (rounded by 40 kb) - this is very expensive, we do not recommend using GPRS and MMS abroad.

Cost with the connected service “World without borders”

The “World Without Borders” service is free to connect and disconnect, but has a subscription fee of 19 rubles/day. We recommend activating this service the day before departure.

the rates are as follows:
Subscription fee for the “World Without Borders” service: 19 rub/day

All incoming calls :
from 1st to 10th minute - 0 rub/min
from the 10th minute - 5 rub/minute (billing per minute)
i.e. ten minutes continuous the call will cost 0 rub. After this, you can reset the call so they can call you back and talk for another 10 minutes for free. There are no restrictions.

Outgoing calls to Russia to any number:
1st minute and from 6th minute — 25 rub/min(billing per minute)
from the 2nd minute to the 5th minute - 15 rub/min

Thus, it is clear that receiving calls is much more profitable, especially since for an MTS subscriber who is in Russia and calls you in Turkey to your MTS number, the call will cost exactly the same as if you were in Russia

The cost of SMS and GPRS will be the same as without the “World without Borders” service. When arriving back to Russia, do not forget to disable this service.

Connecting and disconnecting the service.

Per-second billing for outgoing calls has long been a thing of the past, and today most tariffs provide for per-minute billing. Even if the call lasts 5 seconds, you will pay for a whole minute. This is unfair and MTS has opened a per-second tariff for connection. The operator states that the MTS “Per Second” tariff was developed solely for the sake of subscribers, and not for any other reason. In fact, the tariff plan appeared in connection with changes in legislation (in particular, the adoption of the “Law on Communications”). Be that as it may, now every MTS subscriber can subscribe to the “Per-Second” tariff and pay for every second of conversation.

Description of the MTS “Per Second” tariff

The “Per Second” tariff plan applies to . That is, if you do not connect any additional options, then there will be no daily or monthly fees. You will pay 5 kopecks per second of conversation with subscribers in your home region (in many regions the cost of a second of conversation is 3 kopecks). It turns out that one full minute costs 3 rubles. Per-second pricing applies only to calls within your home region. If you call outside your home region, per-minute billing will apply (the first three seconds are not taken into account).

Of course, others are much cheaper, but they are intended for active subscribers. Do not forget that there are people who rarely make calls, and the conversation lasts only a few seconds. The MTS “Per Second” tariff is designed specifically for this category of subscribers. Of course, in order not to be disappointed in the tariff just a few days after connecting, you need to familiarize yourself with its characteristic features and pitfalls in advance.

Cost of communication services on the “Per-second” tariff

In most regions, the cost of one second of conversation is 3 kopecks, in Moscow and the Moscow region - 5 kopecks. The specified tariff applies not only to calls to MTS subscribers; the price of a second of conversation will remain unchanged when communicating with subscribers of other networks. Calls to landline numbers will cost the same. In addition to the cost of a second of conversation, you should also familiarize yourself with the prices for other communication services. Sending SMS, Internet, calls to Russian numbers - all this has a separate price.

The MTS “Per Second” tariff provides the following prices:

  • Monthly fee - 0 rub;
  • Calls to Cell phones MTS - 5 kopecks for Moscow and the Moscow region, 3 kopecks for most regions;
  • Calls to subscribers of other mobile operators - 5 kopecks for Moscow and the Moscow region, 3 kopecks for most regions;
  • Calls to landline phones - 5 kopecks for Moscow and the Moscow region, 3 kopecks for most regions;
  • Calls to MTS numbers in other regions of Russia - 5 rubles;
  • Calls to numbers of other operators outside the home region - 14 rubles;
  • 1 MB of Internet traffic - 9.90 rubles;
  • Outgoing SMS to home region subscribers - 2 rubles;
  • Outgoing SMS to subscribers in other regions of Russia - 3.80 rubles.
  • Attention
  • The indicated prices are relevant for Moscow and the Moscow region. You can find out more information on prices for your region on the official MTS website.

As you can see, the prices are quite high and there is no talk of a profitable connection. To reduce communication costs, the operator offers to connect additional options. As part of these options, you can receive packages of minutes, SMS and Internet. Of course, you will have to pay for additional packages. Perhaps the MTS “Per Second” tariff will be beneficial for you when you connect additional options. We invite you to familiarize yourself with the conditions of the most common options and their typical prices.

Additional options for the “Per-second” tariff:

  1. Option “Call for free to MTS Russia 100”. When activating the option, subscribers are provided with 100 free minutes per day for calls to MTS subscribers in their home region, as well as 100 free minutes per day for calls to MTS subscribers throughout Russia. Daily fee - 3.50 rub. To activate the “Call for free to MTS Russia 100” option, dial * 868 # on your mobile phone or send an SMS with the text 868 to 111.
  2. Option “SMS Smart Package”. The option allows you to send SMS to any numbers in your home region. Daily fee - 5 rubles. The option is provided automatically when switching to the MTS “Per Second” tariff. To disable the option, dial * 111 * 9009 # on your mobile phone .
  3. Internet option "Super" BIT Smart». As part of the option, the subscriber is provided with 3 GB of Internet for a month. Monthly fee - 12 rubles. Fee for every additional 500 MB above the base limit from 03/31/16 – 75 rubles.

If you connect all these options, you will get a rather large daily fee. In this case, it would be more profitable to consider. This is a tariff line with subscription fee. Tariffs vary in cost and size of packages for minutes, SMS and Internet. The cheapest of them is . The monthly fee for the tariff for most regions is 200 rubles, and you get much more than when connecting individual options on the “Per-Second” tariff. In any case, we recommend that you carefully calculate everything so as not to be disappointed with the tariff later. Which tariff plan will be beneficial depends only on your needs and you must make the final decision yourself.

Most of the currently popular tariff plans mobile operators always provide for per-minute billing for calls made. As a result, if you make a lot of short calls, then such per-minute billing will not be very profitable for you. In this case, we can recommend paying attention to the “Per-second” tariff. We will tell you about the advantages of this tariff, and also describe in detail how to connect and disconnect the tariff.

Description of the “Per-second” tariff

This tariff is interesting due to its payment principle. There is no non-chargeable interval by seconds. All local calls are paid from the first second after the start of the conversation. It should be taken into account that the per-second pricing of the “Per-Second” tariff applies exclusively to making local calls. If you call to other regions, then payment is made on a per-minute basis.

Today, all local calls in this tariff plan cost 3 kopecks per second of conversation. In fact, the cost of one minute of conversation will be 3 rubles. Of course, if you are used to talking for a long time and a lot, then such a tariff plan will not be very profitable for you. However, for short calls, the per-second tariff becomes extremely profitable.

Note that the “Per Second” tariff is aimed at a narrow audience, these can be elderly people, taxi drivers, couriers, and so on.

The pricing accepted for this tariff plan applies to calls on the MTS network and other operators. Calls to an all-Russian number in the MTS network cost 5 rubles per minute, and if you make calls to mobile phones of other operators throughout Russia, the cost is 14 rubles per minute.

Tariffication

If we talk about the cost of MMS and SMS, we note the following:

  • Sending messages all over the world - 5.25 rubles.
  • Sending messages within Russia - 3.8 rubles.

When making calls to other countries, the following tariffs are taken into account:

  • Calls to European countries - 49 rubles per minute.
  • Calls to CIS countries - 35 rubles per minute.
  • Calls to other directions - 70 rubles per minute.
