In the print settings, you need to change the device type (printer section). In my case it's worth Canon printer LBP 6000B. I change it to Save asPDF.

You can then save any website page you like in pdf format by clicking on the button Save. And if you make settings in the secret functionality of Google Chrome, then your capabilities will increase several times.

Unlike Google Chrome, which has a built-in function for saving a page as PDF, the Mozilla Firefox browser, unfortunately, does not have such a function. After all, there is a plugin Printpdf, with which you can save web page toPDF.

And for this you need to download it from this page by pressing the button Add toFirefox. After that, you need to restart the browser and the function of saving in pdf format will become available to us. You can save a web page as pdf through the menu File - PrinttoPDF.

Now I will show you how to save the pages you need in three browsers: Google Chrome, Opera and Mozilla Firefox. Let's get started:

For clarity, I will open a page with Google services, but this can be done in any page on any site.

We will be presented with a print settings page with a preview of the printed pages. Here we must select the printer; to do this, click the “Change” button.

A list will open with the printers available on your computer, but since this moment we need to save, then select “Save as PDF”.

The window will automatically close and we will be returned to the Print Settings page. Let's go through the settings:

— Pages – Here you can select the number of pages to print (save). If there are many pages, select what you need separated by commas, but if you need all pages or just one, then leave the “All” item, which is selected by default.

— Layout — Selection options: Portrait and landscape. If the page you are printing (saving) is very wide, it may not fit the width of the screen, in which case you need to select a landscape layout.

— Paper Size – Select the paper size. In this case, we won't need this setting, since the default size of A4 will suit us.

— Margins—Adjust margins (indent from the edge of the sheet). In this case, setting up the fields is not necessary, although you can experiment as you please.

— Parameters – The system offers two parameter settings.

— Headers and footers — If you check the box, information will appear on the printed (saved) page: date, title, address, numbering.

— Background – You can turn the background on or off when saving pages.

Now that you've configured it to your liking, click save. A window will open in which you can specify the save location and change the file name, and then click “Save.” You may not have this window, in which case the file will be saved automatically. All this depends on the download settings in the browser, you can read if you don’t know and want to know more.

Opening the desktop, we see the saved file in pdf format.

In Opera, everything happens in almost the same way as in Chrome. Click on the menu in the upper left corner and select "Print" or press "CTRL+P".

A print settings window will open, in which you select “Save as PDF” and configure the saving to your liking.

Mozilla Firefox.

Mozilla does not have such a built-in function. save pdf, so you can use the addition. There are many such add-ons, but I will show you one that I used before. It's called "Save as PDF".

So, click the menu button in the upper right corner, and then select the “Add-ons” section.

A tab with add-on controls will open. Here, on the left side of the screen, select “Get add-ons” and then, in the upper right corner, you will see a search bar in which you enter the name and click on “Enter” or the “Magnifying Glass” icon.

By searching for the word, a list will open where our add-on will be in first place, click “Install”.

Mozilla will close and after a few seconds will open again with the add-on already installed, the icon will be in the top left corner. Let's open the page you need to save (I opened Google search).

Now all you have to do is click on the icon, after which a window with information about the future pdf file will appear. Here we can make a choice: save the file or open it in one of the appropriate programs.

Below, if you check the box next to “Run automatically for all files” of this type", then this window will not appear, but saving or opening pdf file will happen automatically.
