Social media traffic what. Estimating traffic from social networks. Ways to increase traffic with social networks

The most effective ways to get traffic from social networks

Hi all! Spring doesn’t have a very good effect on me and I’m increasingly tempted to sell all my projects, drink away half the money and then start with clean slate. Yandex also played a significant role in the bad mood, as it refused to index one of the articles on culinary topics. As a result, I gave up on everything and started working with social media. networks, trying to get traffic from there.

It’s really still a mystery to me where they get such huge quantities of classmates at ridiculous prices, but that’s not the point.

To begin with, it’s worth saying that I had: 20 VKontakte accounts, 4 Odnoklassniki accounts, a collection, Khrumer with social. plugin and hands. Plus, a regular WP site with articles on cooking with 3 pages in the Yandex index and 230 in Google.

  • Day 1. “Spam in the forehead.” I’ll make a digression right away and say that to work effectively with social media. networks, ideally you need to order software to suit your needs, the same album spammer, uploader of photos to groups, etc. But I didn’t have this, so I had to be content with what I had.

VKontakte accounts were “half-dead”, since the date of the last personal messages was about a month ago, but friends were active. Without hesitation, I chose the most popular article on the site - “cooking Rafaelo at home” and with the help of social media. I scattered the Hrumer plugin to all my friends on the wall with a link to the site.

The second stage was distribution to groups. Here we had to work with our hands, in each group a topic was created where it was said that such a wonderful site had opened and a message was posted on the wall. The method itself is very effective, but only until a moderator or admin arrives, who not only delete the post, but are very likely to mark it as spam and the account is quickly blocked for suspicious activity. In any case, the method has the right to life, and with automation it gives good results.

I also tried uploading photos of food, where I wrote the website address on the photo itself or put it in the caption under the photo. It is better not to do such things with your hands, as it is tedious and does not give a noticeable effect.

Ideally, of course, you should have posted a link not to the site itself, but to the group, since those who joined are essentially your regular audience and, accordingly, stable traffic, but on VKontakte there are problems with this and you can often come across the fact that by filling the group with bots mixed with live ones by people and by actively “spamming” it in thematic groups/publics, you may find that it will fall out of the search and its value will drop significantly.

  • Second day. Smart mailing. As you might guess, 70% of the posts and topics in the groups were deleted by the administration, but now the newsletter was more “humane.” Viking troll + hands were used. A theme was created a la hello, I have guests, how to make Caesar salad. A link to the site immediately flew from the second account, and the third commented, saying what a good recipe. Plus, as a Viking bot I got a couple of dozen likes. All this was honored, sometimes on the wall, sometimes in themes.

As a result, the topics seemed to be as humanized as possible, they were answered by real people, etc. Let me remind you that as soon as someone replies to your topic, it automatically rises to the top; in fact, you can keep your topic at the top in large communities and receive consistent traffic.

I have few living accounts left, so I tested only in one middle group:

As you can see, 31 transitions on the first day. In the second there were about 11 + the topic remained alive, it was also indexed by Yandex, and this is an additional social signal.

“Smart mailing” is much more useful. As for classmates, almost the same thing was used there, except that we managed to work a little with collecting accounts and inviting them to groups using social media. plugin in hroomer, but now for some reason it doesn’t work and I’m waiting for an update to test this method. It seems to me the most effective, since your own live group can be filled with minimal costs and give good traffic, especially considering the fact that the audience in Odnoklassniki is “more adequate and older,” leaking to the same automotive and culinary topics is more justified.

I haven’t worked with Facebook, because I have no idea what’s there and how it works + according to rumors, they are punished more severely for sending out messages than in “our social networks.” networks.” But since the “white project” was advertised, there was no need to worry too much.

Well, now the final screen. I spent about 2 hours and kopecks on everything:

It was all poorly monetized, it cost about 2 and a penny of dollars from ADSENSE, but given the fact that the traffic will continue to decline for several more weeks, the costs are quite reasonable.

PS Now there are only 2 VK accounts left alive, mailing on the walls of friends also gave a little traffic + people even repost sometimes, but the main traffic comes from transitions from groups. 40 rubles were spent on accounts.

Automation decides in any area; if you have special software, you can drain a decent amount of traffic by working with your hands, the effect will also be, but not at all the same.

Have a nice day, everyone!

I once wrote on a blog about... I am still of the opinion that it is better to put Yandex social buttons.

There is basically one reason here - all signals go through Yandex and it certainly records all movements on the site. And if you have a good website, then this will only be a plus for it. This also affects one way or another the speed of indexing new articles in Yandex, which is not famous for its speed.

It would seem, what other questions could there be? But there are questions. In the process, I discovered that the buttons VERY slow down the page loading, and Yandex social buttons are no exception, although I only had six of them.

I decided to conduct an experiment and test the page loading speed when the social buttons are installed and when they are not. What happened? Here is the result with the buttons:

After that, I removed the button code on this page and tested the loading speed again. Here's what happened:

As you can clearly see, the page loading speed decreased by TWO! And this is actually a LOT! You can conduct an experiment yourself and check the effect of your buttons on page loading speed.

Is it worth putting social buttons on your website?

But does this mean that it is best to remove the buttons, since they slow down the loading of the site so much? Do not rush to draw conclusions, since site speed, although an important parameter, is still not the most important.

The first thing you need to analyze is the NEED for such buttons on the site. Can you put buttons with counters and see if visitors are sharing your articles on social networks? If they are divided, then mainly in what networks? All unused buttons are better remove completely.

You can also analyze what kind of traffic you get from social networks - is it coming at all? I went to Yandex Metrica and looked at the monthly traffic from social networks to my site about Linux. Here's what I saw:

As you can see, the traffic is scanty, although I constantly send all announcements to many social networks in which I have hundreds and thousands of subscribers and friends. Here's more detail:

During the month there were a total of about 600 visits from social networks. Do you think this is a lot? 100,000 people visit this site in a month! And this traffic is just a drop in the bucket... But at the same time, I constantly spend a lot of time publishing announcements on these networks.

But my other site is a completely different case. There's not much there search traffic, but there are a lot of subscribers, and users are very active in clicking on the social media buttons on the blog and sharing links on their pages.

It’s all about the topic of the site: if you have a site with advice, then the person came from a search, received an answer and left, happily forgetting about your site after 5 seconds. Why would he share a link to an article about with his classmates? The topic is narrow and not interesting to most of his friends.

But if he lands on a site that says VERY interesting article, for example, about what is behind the impending one, then he will certainly share these thoughts with his classmates, classmates, and so on.

But even if you remove buttons from the site, still remember that it is VERY useful to periodically post article announcements on social networks, if not for the sake of traffic, then for the sake of links. It is especially important to post on the network where links are open and taken into account by Yandex Webmaster.

If done wisely, it will not be spam, and group leaders are often even happy, since you are filling their groups with useful content for free. But that's a completely different story...

What kind of social media traffic do I currently have?

Traffic from social networks- is it really so big that you need to work with it and pay attention to it? Why did I ask myself this question? I recently read an article in which one blogger was indignant at the fact that we essentially work for social networks!

We fill their network with unique content, and they get money for it, and not little money. Of course, bloggers are also trying to use traffic from social networks for their own purposes, but how effective is it?

The other day I just watched an interview with one cool marketer, and he said that the return on the same public pages and groups on social networks that companies create for their website is very small!

And it takes a lot of time and effort to maintain and communicate in these groups, waiting for traffic from social networks. And he was talking about sites that have good traffic conversion.

Here I have created public pages site on VKontakte, Facebook, Google +, Odnoklassniki, Subscribe and a sea of other accounts on different blog hosting sites. What kind of traffic comes from them? I send the announcement of each article there. Here's my total traffic:

As you can see, the lion's share of traffic comes from search engines, a few of the direct calls. What about social networks? This purple hyperbole is not visible... That's all my traffic from the networks...

But to be fair, let's look at this traffic in numbers. First, let's look at how many people subscribe to my public pages on social networks and see how many actually transferred from them to the site per month.

In contact with: 114 subscribers – 22 actual conversions per month

Classmates: subscribers 26 - actual conversions per month - 70

Facebook: 57 subscribers – 42 actual conversions per month

Google plus: subscribers 222 - actual conversions per month - 119

Here are some approximate data. They are not entirely accurate, since in Google plus the traffic came from other people’s groups in which I published announcements of articles. The same thing with classmates. So, let's count:

22 + 70 + 42 + 119 = 253/30 = 8 people a day visited my website from social networks. This is so huge traffic!

And the question immediately arises: do I need it? No, if, of course, you promote groups of up to 10,000 people each, then there will be more traffic. But how much effort, time and money will I need to do this? And why should I do something that brings such little efficiency? Wouldn't it be better to limit yourself to social media buttons at the end of the article? Should you spend the freed time on improving the site and writing new articles?

And one more side effect of this approach: a person subscribes to my site through a social network widget, but does not subscribe through an e-mail.

And the second is much better, since it’s much easier to miss news on a social network than an email. There is a huge flow of information on the social network every day, and if a person has not visited his page for a couple of days, then your news will probably no longer be available to him, as he will be flooded with new messages.

These are my thoughts. I’m removing social network widgets from the site, and let the pages themselves hang. What do you think about this?

Why do beginners forget about traffic from social networks? Mega social traffic - high quality!

Greetings, dear blog visitors. Dmitry Smirnov is in touch with you as always, and in this article I want to give you lyuli for stopping generating social traffic! Many people still cannot understand how social networks can help you in your business, and why social traffic is of the highest quality, in some ways better than search traffic!

You understand what the point is, namely, that social traffic is really very cool! Social networks are full of live participants who often spend a lot of time on those same networks. Millions of people visit the VKontakte social network, thereby you can receive a huge amount of targeted traffic to your resource.

It’s not for nothing that all networkers use the social network VKontakte to promote some kind of weight loss product or something else. All you need in order to receive high-quality and effective social traffic is to create a VKontakte group, and additionally recruit friends to your list every day!

Having even 700 - 800 friends, you can already receive 30 - 50 visitors from the social network! Now I myself am actively collecting friends on VKontakte! For this there is various groups, where you can simply leave a friendship invitation and friend requests will pour in!

What do I do after publishing a post!

Immediately after the publication of the post, I make an announcement on the social network. And almost immediately I receive traffic from the social network! Additionally, I recommend creating a group. I have a group for mutual PR, but I don’t allow additional time to run groups! But if you are a beginner, then social traffic will be exactly what will help you super! Do not exclude any traffic in promoting your resource! And don't forget to use subscribe. You can easily and quickly become a thousand-year-old, even if half of the traffic is not from search, don’t care, social traffic is also targeted + traffic from subscript can also be very high quality!

At the beginning of my journey, I talked about how, using a simple profit-partner forum, I gained 300 subscribers in 2 days, I just spammed there and that’s it))))) Use social traffic in your promotion too!! Good luck!

Good news friends, today I will tell you about a new way to get a cheap traffic flow for dumping on. For those who are in the tank, I’ll paraphrase - today I’ll tell you how to invest pennies and raise hundreds and thousands)

For social media arbitrage we will need the following:

  1. Actually, the affiliate program itself with which we will work. In my case it's
  2. The right offer from which we will earn money. We look carefully at allowed traffic sources and geotargeting.
  3. Account on , where we will buy cheap traffic. Registration will take a minute.
  4. Social account networks. In my example, this is VKontakte.
  5. At least 5 dollars in an electronic account is the minimum for depositing funds into a forum account.

All this will help us create a flow of leads for the affiliate website. For reference, lead generation is potential consumers/buyers who, by visiting the site, can take the action we need (paid for).

Actually, at first I wanted to make a complete article here with screenshots and detailed explanations of my working example of how and what to do, but then I thought about it and decided that it’s not worth it, especially since the more people find out, the worse this topic will work =)

Judge for yourself - I spent some $2, but received 4 leads in a day, which already brought 500 rubles, it is quite possible that others will perform paid actions one of these days.

In addition, it is very dull when they give ready-made cases - people begin to mindlessly repeat them, and then wonder why after some time they lose their money. Therefore, I will tell you only in general terms.

How to get cheap traffic for arbitration from VK.

  1. We make a cool, catchy ad for VKontakte, for example on your wall, or in a group you created ( create business there for 5 minutes). It’s better to create a fake account for arbitrage ( I wrote about how to create it and how to make friends)
  2. In this ad we put our link to the offer, or give a link to your landing page, if you have one. There may be problems with direct links, because... VK often blacklists CPA affiliates, so most likely you will have to work through a landing page.
  3. We buy reposts on the VKontakte wall for 3-4 cents on similar services.

For 5 bucks you will get over a hundred reposts. Tens of thousands of people will see your ad in their friend feeds. And the more correctly the offer and ad are selected, the better the effect will be. You need to try hard and achieve a viral effect so that your message will continue to circulate on its own and bring you profit, without any extra costs on your part.

How to achieve this? Be smart, use your imagination) Choose an interesting picture that causes controversy or heated discussion. Write catchy, provocative text.

For example, I used a video with a review of a toy to interest the target audience in the gaming offer + attached a link to my landing page. At the same time, I recruited people into my VKontakte group, so to speak, 2 birds with one stone)

What are the disadvantages of this method of arbitrating traffic from VKontakte?

A little later I will write articles on the forum, if anyone has any difficulties, I will describe how to set up your tasks, how to check completed work, etc.

Let's continue talking about traffic. Today we will look at the two remaining channels: Social (social) and Paid (paid).

The user perceives social networks as an entry point to the Internet. He doesn’t need to go to every single site, he gets everything right here and now. Recent data shows that the share of transitions to a website from social networks is greatly reduced, so when planning a strategy for So

If you are ready to invest, then various advertising tools will help you. Each social network has its own:

You can turn to an agency that will do the whole complex of work for you on a turnkey basis, but again, it will be a lot of money.
In general, ask yourself the question: why do you need groups on social networks and what will you broadcast on them?

No matter how much they say this a hundred million times, only necessary and interesting content can attract an audience.

Paid or paid traffic channels

These are users who come to you through paid advertising. Let's see what types it comes in.

The cheapest cost of moving to your site!

Purchasing newsletters for the audience you need. Send an introduction to your product/website or anything to your potential clients, right down to advertising banners inside the letter.

Sorry to interrupt reading. Join my telegram channel. Fresh announcements of articles, development of digital products and growth hack, it’s all there. Waiting for you! Let's continue...

Small blocks with a small picture that look like news. In the previous material we just talked about. The same blocks can be purchased as advertising.

Great resources are no exception. The same media, entertainment portals, etc. The key question will be: is your audience there? Advertising on such sources can be varied, from special projects to native (an article mentioning a product).

How to pump up paid traffic channels?

Money, money and money again J You need to approach everything wisely. It’s always easiest to just take the money and give it to the agency.

But, if you have a little time and patience, then you can organize at least part of the paid advertising yourself. To do this, study the tools and create an advertising campaign yourself.

The same goes for other channels. Study the issue, spend a little time and you won’t regret it. At a minimum, you will understand and be able to ask the right questions to the agency if necessary.

Results

Today we talked about Social and Paid traffic channels, this is where the basics end. Then you can find for yourself in each of them effective method attracting customers to your website. Now we need to move on to the part where we will learn how to check the operation of the channels, but more on that in the next article.

Best wishes!

I almost forgot, subscribe at the bottom right :)
