MKDIR full path and folder name

For the desktop, I would enter:

MKDIR C:\Users\Alex\Desktop\folder

In the path above “Alex” is the username, write your name in its place. The “Desktop” section is the desktop directory, after the slash the name of the folder “folder” is already set, write your own and click Enter. According to this scheme folders are created in another location, you need to enter the full path and name.

To create nested directories, add the following construct:

This material will look at how to create a folder in Android on the desktop and in the memory of a device (or memory card) running this wonderful system.

Create a folder on Android desktop to store shortcuts

In Android OS, folders on the desktop are designed to contain application shortcuts. This organization of labels is convenient because it can be unloaded with a large number of installed programs on an Android smartphone or tablet. When your desktops are full of all kinds of icons, it makes more sense to collect them into folders by application type, and also find the desired program will be much faster.

For example, programs for playing video and audio, viewing photos can be placed in the folder created on the desktop " Multimedia", and place the games in a folder with the same name.

To create a folder on the desktop, you need to touch any empty space on the desktop and hold your finger until a menu appears in which you need to select " Create a folder" or " Folder».

Depending on the device manufacturer and its user Android shell, the menu may look different, but the algorithm for creating a folder is the same - on a free space on the desktop. In some proprietary firmware, a folder on the desktop is created automatically by moving one icon to another.

To move shortcuts to an already created folder, you just need to touch the selected icon and, holding it, move it to the folder image. To change the name of the folder you want to open, click on its name at the top and enter the desired name.

The folder is handy tool to organize files. It can be compared to shelves in a closet. At each place there are things placed according to a certain principle, which is established by the owner.

For example, in the folder “Photos from Sochi” there are 3,000 thousand photos from vacation. And in the folder “Business trip to the North” there are 1,800 pictures from a work trip.

If you do not create separate folders and place them in one place, for example on a flash drive, then the photos will be mixed. Therefore, it will be difficult to find the necessary files.

Now imagine that your boss asked you to send me a photo report about your trip to the North. You won’t choose 1,800 from 4,800 photos one at a time? You can go crazy like that!

All of the above applies not only to photographs, but also to any type of information: music, films, programs and other various files.

Folders are needed to store information on a computer in a more or less structured form. If you imagine that there would not be a single folder on the computer disk, and that the files would be saved directly to the disk (they also say “to the root of the disk”), then it is not difficult to imagine what kind of chaos would happen on the disk and how difficult it would be to find the right one information.

An additional problem would be that it is impossible for two files with completely identical names to exist on the disk (within one folder or “in the root”). Thus, when installing programs, conflicts would constantly occur between already existing files and those that are created on disk during the installation process.

In light of this, the ability to create folders on disk and folders within folders seems like a great idea! We can place programs and data separately from each other, texts in a separate folder, photos in another, movies in a folder, etc.
